Okay, everyone going on about the book having a author. And maybe it does, in fact I think it at least has a creator, but here’s a question I’m sure someone’s theorized but I’ll put it here just in case. What if it doesn’t (or at least not in the traditional sense), what if the Book is sort of like a all seeing all knowing chronology of all possibilities, outcomes, and events. Every direction that a person can take throughout ALL OF TIME AND SPACE is written down and put into the book.  So maybe the Book doesn’t have a actual ‘Author” instead it just chronicles what has been, and what could have been, and will be and what can be.

There have been things like this done. Especially in Doctor Who were they’re are ancient Timey Wimey artifacts that are able to see every single outcome and possibility.

Well, they actually touched on the book of records in Oz (ACTUAL OZ LORE OMG). That functions similarly–recording everything that happens as it happens.

It would be neat (but I doubt they will) if they connected the two volumes somehow–if there are books like this in multiple realms.

Actually they’re not because many people now think that there is no author since S4 began. And many more people have thought this for a very long time.

Also the book appears to be some sort of word-of-god tome and we just happen to have an all powerful sorcerer who can do all sort of godlike things.

Maybe the Sorcerer is a god. That would be a big risk for ONCE to take though. (But it would be cool, that make the Dark One the devil…Chernabog maybe :P)

Well, they said that Ursula was a sea goddess…and now they’ve cast someone to play her for multiple episodes.

Oh that’s right, I kind of forget that. Boy that was such a long time ago. So now I have a new theory then. The Sorcerer a God, The Dark One is the devil and Rumple is the Dark One’s Vessel into reality.

I think who “wrote” the book might be what’s misleading, and it’ll turn out to be more so who “created” the book. The book could write itself, but there would still be someone who was responsible for it existing in the first place.

I agree with this. Blue Fairy or Sorcerer

Sorcerer created the book. Blue knows this, but doesn’t say since the Sorcerer is the one she loved and why she can’t love anymore or Nova as well. It all goes back to the Sorcerer, whom I believe to be Merlin.

Yes,  I have always thought this. My idea was that the Sorcerer created the book to record on its pages what happens as it happens. The book is bewitched to do this, and the book writes itself. The book has a creator, but not an author.
