I’ve just realised that Hook has to double cross Cora and help Emma. Because Emma, Snow and the others were locked in the cell in the promo. And in the first episode, one of the guards said that the cell was made of something that not even Rumple could escape. So the only way for Emma to escape the cell, which she obviously does, someone would have to let her out and i’m guessing it would be Hook. And i don’t think Emma could simply pick the lock because the cell was specifically made for Rumple so no magic or picking the lock could open the cell.
And i have another idea, but this is a bit farfetched. Maybe when Hook helps Emma, they don’t show that Hook is helping her until the end, which could be one of the cliffhangers. Like they did with Auroras heart- they didn’t show that he took her heart until the end of the episode.
The writers have been saying that things may ‘not be as they seem’ with Emma and Hook- so maybe this is what they’re talking about, Hook double crossing Cora.
So hopefully Cora wont make it to SB if this happens. What do you think? Do you think this is possible?

Yeah, I think that’s very possible. If you listen to the latest official ABC podcast for 2×8, Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis said that Captain Hook really meant what he said to Emma and was really hurt by Emma’s betrayal in 2×6. While they said that Hook is a man who finds it difficult to forgive, I have a feeling that he ultimately will forgive Emma. I think Hook really fancies Emma, so he’ll be more sympathetic. He could just be placating Cora so that she doesn’t kill him or leave him behind, but I highly doubt he favors working with Cora over Emma. Also, it’s unclear how exactly Hook came by Aurora’s enchanted heart since he’s not a magician as far as we know. I doubt he want to kill Aurora though, and hopefully, he wants her to survive. One theory I read is that Maleficent might have taken Aurora’s heart when she was under the sleeping curse, but Hook somehow acquired the heart. Also I read this interesting article which might have some hints about what is in store for SwanHook: http://www.wetpaint.com/once-upon-a-time/articles/once-upon-a-time-season-2-emma-and-captain-hook-are-kindred-spirits

When I saw Emma locked in the cell and Hook get up close to her my first thought is that he slipped her something to help her escape. I have a similar thought process and the CaptainSwan fan in me wants it to play out this way, I really want Hook to come through for Emma and help her defeat Cora. I think if Hook does something extreme that helps beat Cora and allows them to return to Storybrooke she’ll allow him to come with them and that may be his plan all along. It seems to me Hook was telling the truth he feels uneasy about Cora and would rather her not get to Storybrooke. I think Hook will come through for Emma I think some part of of him does care for her and at least that first message was genuine.

What I keep thinking about in regards to the heart and how they said Hook has to compete against his more magical and powerful villainous counterparts is he was to rely on his wits he has to best them strategically. How he’s been able to set up the pieces here possibly against Cora is a tribute to that. Cora’s big mistake was leaving him alive now it seems like he has slipped his way into having the upper hand in all this and I think he’ll use his advantage to help Emma in the end. I loved her reaction to the message Cora was feeding through Aurora that was priceless 😀

November 27, 2012 at 1:15 pm #162560becParticipantThere was another tweet of hers where someone mentions that the ‘Captain Swan’ is “killing me” and she replies:
“Keep watching on the Swan front, you might be surprised at what happens”Hook is very unpredictable character, I’m really hoping he does help Emma which, from the tweets and interviews, looks like he will.
When I saw Emma locked in the cell and Hook get up close to her my first thought is that he slipped her something to help her escape
I thought that too, and in the background you can see Cora and it looks like shes watching him intently. This means that she doesnt trust him and she knows of hes feelings towards Emma and knows that he will most likely do something to help her.
also as the bars go down, you can see Hook who looks like he cant even look at Emma. Theres a reason he is looking like that and is fiddling with his Hook. The directors have a purpose for where the charcaters stand and theres a reason he is fiddlng with his Hook, because i have only ever seen him do that once- when Cora controlling Aurora. You may think im stupid and over analysing this, but i think its the small things that really show how the characters are feeling. So the guilt may further motivate him to help Emma.
November 28, 2012 at 1:34 am #162622elleParticipantI do think he will help Emma, but simply on the fact that Emma is much more compassionate and easier to work with than Cora, I think. I also think he was a bit moved by Emma’s devotion for hr family–he mentioned also how she had a lost look (like the lost boy) and he seemed to like working with her.
I think they are kindred spirits–both are/were thieves, both are hardened people, and both are strong and use what they have to survive.
Still don’t think that, in the end, they will be complete allies in Storybrooke. He still wants to kill Rumpelstiltskin, and as much as Emma dislikes the latter, she is still Sheriff and she won’t condone it.

I think Hook will help her too. But probably not til the end…or something like that. Something unexpected.
Perhaps Hook won’t kill rumple because of Emma? Maybe they will play the story so that he chooses her over his revenge. I’m not sure on this, cause he has been working at this revenge thing for a long while…I don’t think a pretty girl could change that so fast, but it is a possibility.a little off topic…lol..
As far as the CaptainSwan, I’m all for it. I will be interested to see how it plays out with Neal though.*SWANFIRE* keeper of Neal's dream catcher
November 28, 2012 at 1:08 pm #162642elleParticipantI doubt Captain Hook will forget about his revenge. He has worked on this for centuries. Not even Emma could make him forget.

I share the doubts, Elle. 🙂 Its been my problem with the CaptainSwan since the beginning. I love the Idea of Hook and Emma, its just….He has been working for centuries as you said to kill Rumple, and Emma has been working to get Henry back. He wouldn’t give that up for her, or maybe, I’m not saying it isn’t possible…but I wouldn’t think so. Besides that…I hope it turns out okay for them.
This is an interesting thought…
What if hook spent some of that time learning to take a heart? I mean, so he could take Rumples/Bae’s? Idk…just a random thought. I don’t even think its possible for him to take Rumple’s…or I’m not sure, but I wouldn’t think so. But Bae is a possibility. What do you think?*SWANFIRE* keeper of Neal's dream catcher
