Will we see Dr. Facilier again? What role might he play in the casting of the Dark Curse, if any? How did he become trapped in two worlds, as he said?

Perhaps it was a part of the ruby slippers or from the same source material as the ruby slippers. Oz could be this other horrible place he is trapped in, but it might not be. Afterall, either Wonderland or our world would be a horrible places to half-trapped in, too. Some gimmicky mcguffin probably caused him to be trapped between two worlds.
Also, whatever item trapped Facillier between two worlds, could be an ingredient for this new curse, meaning that HH is a place between two worlds, ours and the realm-on-the-edge-of-realms, where Rumbelle, Cinderella and crew were. If this is correct, then the other horrible place that Facillier was trapped in would be our world, which would remove his magic.
Maybe we will Facillier again because he is in HH and the heroes will need the ruby to break the curse. If he is not in HH, then we could see the ruby again at least.
Another thought…maybe Anastasia needs to be between two worlds (for whatever odd reason A and E have come up with) in order to be resurrected, though I don’t know how this would fit in with Ivy’s plans to thwart her mother.
(The medal had 8 points on it like the compass (and like the episode 10 title) but he didn’t seem to need that only the ruby, so I can’t decide if the metal part of the medal has a connection with Oz and/or episode 10 and/or that bearded guy’s 8-pointed rune tattoo)

I also think we will see him again. I kinda thought when he disappeared he used black smoke magic which I kinda thought could be the shadow from the end of last season.
I took his line about being trapped between two places as more of a mystical plane sort of a situation. When he held the ruby, the whatever thing with the wonky blurry camera happened, and then he used the voodoo doll to injure Tiana and said, “It feels so good to be back.” So I figured that his voodoo powers had been trapped somewhere in another “world”, and when he held the ruby it brought them back to him in this world, making him whole again.
The actor was great, I hope we get to see more of the character.

It’s making me wonder if perhaps he is the Dark One of Enchanted Forest 2, if Enchanted Forest 2 has its own Dark One. After all, Facilier is a dealmaker, just like all Dark Ones are.

Didn’t even think of that–but good catch! Maybe the “friends on the other side” are the real big bad for the second half of the season.

Yeah, that is a good idea. Those words said from a character should mean something though.
Even though he makes deals, Dr. Facilier probably isn’t cursed as a dark one. While he does use black magic, I think he is more of a self-taught dark sorcerer similar to the Evil Queen and Cora, only male.
