What did you think of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? Why would Jekyll create such a potion, capable of separating the good from the evil? And how do they know the Dark One?
I really liked these two.
Anyone else wanna bet that Hyde got some sort of missing ingredient by making a deal with Rumple and that’s how he knows the Dark One?
Hyde stated that he was “trapped” in this land so I thought maybe Rumple trapped him and that is why he wants revenge on the dark one. He was obviously looking for a weakness because as soon as he heard that Rumple was trying to save the woman he loved he let go of Hook for questions. I wonder if there is no good in Hyde because he is nothing but evil? That makes for a completely flat character, and would be that there is no good in the Evil Queen? I hope this is not the way they are going as I love the villains with some (even if it is very little) redeemable qualities.

Right he certainly is in the novella….but there’s something quasi-heroic about him bringing all the forgotten stories to SB so that they might finish out their narratives.

Interesting question. My preference would be to leave just a smidgen of good in him. I am looking at this in terms of yin and yang. That symbol shows that there are no absolutes; everything has both a yin and yang aspect.
I thought the actor for Mr. Hyde was good. But I have no idea what his motivation is. Why does he want to be running storybooke. Is this actually the science vs magic story line? Does he just want all the untold stories to get their time in the sun? What does he want? I just wish they clarified his motivations a little better going into the hiatus.
I find Mr Hyde rather entertaining. Jekyll should hang out with Archie.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixIs this actually the science vs magic story line?
I don’t think so. It seems like science and magic were working in tandem in the Land of Untold Stories; Jekyll used all manner of science-y doodads and thingamabobs to put the magical wand back together. I think we got that prediction wrong; S6 is going to be about the war between the character’s two selves.

Which actually could be a better story line, if they do it right. That story line seems to suggest they will be focusing on a ton of character development within the original cast, which would be promising. However, I’m still waiting for a rather large villain to show after Hyde. But maybe I’m wrong.
And there’s going to be something going on with Rumple still trying to wake Belle. They didn’t tell us what Hyde told Rumple but presumably Rumple is not in storybrooke and that to me is interesting, and could lead us to someone we won’t see coming. Maybe Zeus shows up again? I mean they basically made him the God figure of this show. Who better than God to have the power to not only bring people back to life, but also wake them up from sleeping curses. I hope it’s not Zeus, but I do find it hard to believe that will be the last we see of him.
This could also be the way they bring Maleficent back into the story. Didn’t she like create the sleeping curse or something? It certainly heavily revolves around her. I could see Rumple going to her for help.
