A&E were recently asked in an interview if a Season 7 could mean current secondary or tertiary characters could become main characters. They remained mum. Putting actor availability aside, which guest or recurring characters, if any, would you like to see become main characters?
[adrotate group="5"]Here are some of my dream cast upgrades:
The Blue Fairy: She’s been with the show from the very beginning and yet we still no next to nothing about her origin and overall motivations. Even if they don’t go the “Shady Blue” route, I would really love to see her get the main character treatment I think she deserves.
Dr. Frankenstein/Dr. Whale: His story has felt unfinished since mid Season 2. I think his reliance on science over magic could be an interesting plot point to bring back that got dropped.It would also give the show variety in flashing back to a different realm – the Land Without Color – a place with potential for other new character connections such as Dracula, the Bride of Frankenstein, etc.
Will Scarlet and the Red Queen/Anastasia: Will actually was billed as starring in Season 4 and then just disappeared. I loved both his and Ana’s characters in OUATiW – they remain my favorite couple in the OUAT universe. Questions raised in S4 could be answered and many more adventures could be shown. Again, it would also give the show variety in flashing back to a different realm – Wonderland.

Out of the dead file/raised by Zeus for plot reasons: I’d have loved more Baelfire (obviously), more Cruella, and more Graham (or at least having his death addressed in a realistic way).
