This episode made me feel like Blue is just useless and dumb, and not actually shady or sneaky or Black Fairy herself or whatever. However, the fact they did not show that “fight” between Blue and Black makes me think they are saving that for a future episode. I mean, are they really not going to show us that? That seems like a big thing not to show us. And the only reason why they would wait to show us that until Black Fairy’s centric would be if something went down that we don’t know about. So that could be that Black had some dirt on Blue and Blue gave Gideon up. It could mean that Black is Blue. It could mean Blue is shady and actually has been friends with Black all this time and didn’t actually ban her to the dark realm. Or, the writers just don’t want to show us the scene for some reason. But it all seems odd.
Unless she’s revealed to have another identity, isn’t the Black Fairy the first “arc villain” that’s an original character for the show?

Nope.
Greg and Tamara, Isaac, I guess even Dark Swan.

Cora too! The best one.
Eh, Cora and Hook were the arc villains for Season 2 and Dark Swan was not the arc villain. She was barely a villain. Hook and Arthur were the arc villains for that half.

I don’t think Cora counts. She was the Queen of Hearts and the miller’s daughter.

True, but first she was Cora, an original character (Regina’s mom) before she became the Queen of Hearts. But yes, I guess technically you are right.

technically she was the millers daughter before she was a mother. The only original (main) characters are Emma, Henry, and Neal. We have original side characters to (Lily, Dragon, Tamara, etc) but Cora no count. Unless we count the likes of Greg and Tamara, I think Black Fairy is the first central villain who is original.

Yeah, the miller’s daughter is a character from the Rumpelstiltskin story, so she is not original. She just happens to be The Evil Queen’s mother from the Snow White story in the Ouat version.

Right in the show’s timeline, she was first the Miller’s daughter. However, in how the story unfolded to the audience, she was simply Regina’s over-protective mother who wanted power. So she started out as an original character, then they molded her story to fit with previous told literature. That’s why I count Cora.
