In its five seasons on the air, Once Upon a Time has visited Neverland, Oz, Wonderland, and Camelot, among other lands. If Jennifer Morrison had her way, instead of visiting another fantastical world, season six of would take a trip back in time to a very specific point in American history.
“I think my fantasy for the show will probably never happen. I’d love to do, I don’t know, rock and roll in the ’60s,” the Savior, Emma Swan herself, told E! News with a laugh. “I don’t think that’s in the cards for us.”
Of course, before the heroes and villains of Storybrooke can even think about where they might wind up next, they’ve got some work to do. Namely, get the hell out of, well, Hell.

[adrotate group="5"]April 29, 2016 at 6:23 pm #322341MatthewPaulModeratorCreators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz previously teased to E! News that the season five finale will “see the arrival of someone new and the return of someone old as our heroes’ faith in each other and in magic itself is put to the ultimate test.” Who’s the familiar face returning? Morrison’s not telling, but she does admit it’s someone we’d never have expected.
“Honestly, I didn’t see any of it coming in the script, not that I ever do. They’re so good at having so many creative surprises,” she teased. “I definitely was surprised by it, but I was also excited about it because I feel like it’s characters that are definitely going to bring a lot to the show, but are [also] characters that are very unexpected.”
Might simply be Merida, or it’ll really be another bombshell like Neal in 512.
April 29, 2016 at 6:35 pm #322342TheWatcherParticipantI doubt it’s merida. She isn’t surprising or shocking. I hope its Neal, but yeah I doubt that too. Could also be Graham. Maybe.
Probably not. But maybe. Wouldn’t that just be amazing. We got Neal at the beginning and Graham at the end.

Henry of course used the song on Violet, and we already know this is a heavy Henry/Violet episode. Then this episode takes place in NYC, and I recall they filmed on the same street where Neal’s apartment is located. Not to mention, Rumple is in NYC in the episode, too. So I think we could either get a flashback of the time Neal talked to Henry about “Only You”, or Neal could appear to Henry in a dream sequence just like he did with Emma. If it’s the latter, it would finally give Neal and Henry the opportunity to say goodbye. This also wouldn’t be the first time that MRJ filmed for OUAT under secrecy, and I’m sure he would have taken greater measures to keep it that way this time around. His cover was blown last time due to Mark Isham’s leak, Sean Maguire posting pictures with him on Instagram, and 512 screeners going out to the press.

Something someone mentioned to me about a possibility based on ouat truck being filming in University of south california, like 1 or 2 weeks ago, just came to my head, but since was never confirmed i never thought of that again, until now, and talking about filming in secret, but just hope not, no, no more Neal, i mean MRj even said on the interview, that neal got book end and sort of hint no more ouat. Also this is supposed to be on the finale, right? the finale is on 523, even tho by then they are still in NY, but yeah, no Neal.
Maybe is Tink? or Graham, although i think they dont have money to have jamie back and he is filming the 50 shades movies, but maybe is bc of that, the character comeback would be unexpected.

I think the people involved look at both 522/523 as the finale, since they are airing together as a special 2 hour finale event. I mean, Amy Manson initially said that she was returning for the finale, and it looks like she’s in 522 too. Not to mention, Jacob and Nathaniel are in both episodes, as is Violet. Just like with Seasons 3 and 4, it looks like one story told over two parts. You can say the same thing for Season 1 and 2’s final two episodes, except that they aired on separate nights. Regarding the recent MRJ interview, keep in mind that the interview was most likely conducted after filming for Season 5 wrapped.
As for other characters, I guess I wouldn’t rule Tink. iZombie does film in Vancouver, and she certainly seems open to returning. That largely depends upon how the CW feels, I guess. I wouldn’t count on Graham, though. Jamie Dornan has become way too big of a star in recent years, that I just don’t see it happening. Adam and Eddy have regularly stated how improbable his return would be. If I had to suggest another character, I would say perhaps August?

Tink doesn’t exactly the same narrative pull, though. She’s someone they announce ahead of time, not someone who’s a BIG deal
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 29, 2016 at 9:17 pm #322349sciencevsmagicParticipantPan? He would be a big deal and unexpected too, since he seemed conclusively dead.

Well, was made one week before ouat finished filming, i believe, and the center of that interview was the new show and Matt ended asking him some questions about Neal and 512.
The details Jmo gives are about the new characters the “brothers”, since she says she can`t say much about it this return, so no mention if is on flashbacks or dreams or even if this old character is coming back to the show only on s5 finale or also for S6, because we know the brothers will appear on s6a at least, so the same can be said about this return character,
I dont think August is a big thing, since he is supposed to be on SB, the same thing to Mal and lily, yes they are returns, but they are returns that you would announce, is no need make a surprise about it, they only need to keep surprise if was someone big, of course the same can be said about Tink, but at this moment Rose is getting more media attention than the other ones, so she could be a fun surprise. Or who knows, maybe is the Ingrid or Anna, they are filming that A&E new show.
