You know which couple I’m really worried about? Archie and Pongo. I mean, my god. Does Archie KNOW that his dog was evil-ized by Cruella and probably suffered greatly from having his mind robbed? Let’s explore THAT relationship.

I do however think that the couple people should be most worried about in the immediate future is CaptainSwan. All the Once couples so far, excluding CS, have had to deal with the crap thrown at them by the writers (for OQ, that crap comes bearing the name Zelena), CS is the only couple that haven’t had to go through major trials in their relationship so far, so it makes sense that it’s their turn now.

I think you’re onto something here. But although I might be completely wrong about this, I have this sneaking suspicion that what the writers will “throw” at Emma and Hook is going to be pretty minor compared to every other couple. A&E are no GRR Martin — we can’t really expect them to take Faulkner’s advice to heart and “kill their darlings,” and they probably won’t even inconvenience them overly much. As long as Hook remains a wish fulfillment character, CS is pretty safe, I think.

The biggest obstacle CS will have to face is Black! Swan.
That’s it. It won’t be anything near the kind of angst Rumbelle or OQ or even Snowing had to put up with.

The story is so plot-driven now, that characters are merely reacting to increasingly ridiculous scenarios (e.g. “Marian” is Zelena). The only couples I really cared about are already parted, by death or by circumstance. Even a couple who already had their happy ending on a spin-off show has been torn asunder. I have some major qualms with the writers’ portrayal of what “true love” even is now. Plus, the show has become all about shipping drama, which I find unfortunate and boring. The most important relationships of the show (e.g. the relationships between parents and their children) have been put on the back burner in favor of romantic relationships. That isn’t the show I thought I was signing up for in S1.

Hah, I’m sure CaptainSwaners would argue that just getting together in the first place was the couple’s main obstacle. Though that doesn’t mean they won’t face more in the future.
I think in the end all the couples will be fine. And even so, what problems that do stem up for them wont really be a thing until next season.
OQ I think will still end on a positive note and they will continue to deal with the Zelena situation next year. Its not an immediate or dangerous thing to them when you really think about it.
Snowing will be fine because they are Snowing.
CS will be mostly fine. The obstacle they’ll face will be Dark Emma which is next season and I don’t even think that will be a season long thing (as in Emma will be dark for about 3-4 episodes and then a new villain arises that pushes her back to the hero side so yeah).
Im sure no one has anything to worry about.
Except Rumbellers. And ScarletQueen fans.

Two of the most beautiful love stories ever told by the writers, Belle/Rumple and Will/Ana, have been disregarded or destroyed. The writers tossed these stories away and/or systematically dismantled them to the point of being unrecognizable! And for what??? *heads desk*
