Something intersting to throw in the mix here:

The meanings of names:

Felix means happy
Killian means conflict (not happy)

Remember when Hook stabbed Gold, when he said he destroyed his “happiness”?

This might not mean anything, but I’m just throwing that out there!

Gosh, I hope Colin will be in the finale. I know Adam Horowitz said Hook is coming back but if it’s not Colin, the whole show’s just gone sour for me!

Yeah, I think so, too. Even though it’s been confirmed that Mother Superior didn’t have her memories preserved during the curse, I still want to say the part of the BF’s plans were to make sure Baelfire and Emma would have Henry.

Captain Hook definitely left before the curse. If Bae had left before the curse, he’d look closer to age 43 (14-years-old when he left NL + 29 years of waiting for the curse to be broken). So, it makes the most sense that Baelfire would’ve left Neverland sometime in the middle of the curse, which would make Bae appear between around 30 years old in the present day.

MRJ is only 35, so yes, I think they wouldn’t age Bae too much for this part.
If it’s true that Bae left in the middle of the curse, let’s say 16 yrs ago to make 14 yr old Bae about 30, then that would mean Neverland wasn’t affected by the curse at temporally (which I think is logical given that Neverland is already frozen in time). But does it mean that NL wasn’t affected in other ways? FTL is pretty ravaged from the curse but the damage could be localized to just that realm.

Hmmm, great question. We don’t yet know how the dark curse impacted other worlds besides the EF (except that it created a Brigadoon-like town in a Land without Magic). I don’t think the dark curse had a larger impact on our world besides the inception of SB, so maybe Wonderland, Neverland, Oz, and other lands simply continue to exist unharmed like ours seems to have done. If David hadn’t destroyed Jefferson’s hat, it’d be so easy to answer that question now that magic is in SB, and the characters could travel to far-off lands with relative ease. Hmmm, maybe the hat Emma created in Hat Trick would work now that magic is in SB. 💡 So, maybe Neal and Emma will use that hat to travel to Neverland in search of Henry.

Why would Hook need a “replacement”? Based on Paleyfest, it sounded like the finale will not only focus strongly on Hook (and possibly Peter Pan), but that Colin O’Donoghue would have a big role to play in that process. Will Colin O’Donoghue not be in the finale?

?????? Um, he’s been gone from Neverland for over 28 years now? Perhaps someone, like Felix, stepped up to the plate and played pirate, back in Neverland, while he was gone? Besides, that wouldn’t affect Hook at all, now would it.

Please, let’s not make this another Colin O’Donoghue Doom and Gloom thing.

I don’t think Neverland was affected by the curse. On Neal’s wanted poster, they gave him a date of birth of March 21, 1977. I would assume that he showed up 14 years after 1977 thus making it sometime in 1991 at the age of 14. That makes him 35 and missing from Neverland for 21 years.

I’m inclined to agree with you, mostly because I don’t want the lands to be sad and depressing and ravaged when see them. I want my Emerald City and bright Yellow Brick Road!!
Emma’s hat needs to make a reappearance and soon. We haven’t seen it for a whole season now. But unless the dwarves and Tiny only grow one bean, there should be plenty to get Henry and then Emma/Neal/ect to Neverland. BUT maybe they take the hat with them to go to other lands after NL is finished.

I am starting to doubt Captain Hook left his entire crew behind him in Neverland. We know he had his ship in the remanent of the EF, because he used it to sail with Cora to SB. Also, we know Smee ended up in SB. So, the simplet answer in my mind is that Captain Hook and his crew sailed the Jolly Roger to the EF 30 years ago. Smee and the other pirates were affected by the dark curse and transported to SB. Captain Hook and Cora remained behind in the bubble-protected remanent of the EF until they sailed his ship to SB.
