What I want to know is exactly how much control did Regina have over everyone’s memories? She couldn’t possible have known everyone in the entire realm well enough to create all their Storybrooke backstories!

It wouldn’t have been worth the effort for her to oversee every detail about every peasant in her realm, but there were certain rules she needed in place for the handful of people she actively hated on a personal level.

When I visited the Vancouver set earlier this month for the shooting of the May 12 two-hour finale, I left with the impression that the Lacey saga may not be resolved until season’s end. To that, de Ravin says, “There is definitely a resolution in the finale and a part of the story between Mr. Gold and my character that’s really beautiful. But as true love is, it’s never an easy path. Let’s put it that way.” http://www.tvguide.com/News/Once-Upon-Time-Emilie-de-Ravin-1064168.aspx

April 18, 2013 at 2:43 pm #186919RumplesGirlKeymasterI was so looking forward to Lacey and the great Rumbelle reunion. And now it’s becoming increasingly clear that I’m going to have to wait. At least they’re dating? And he’s getting her to fall for him? And it gets resolved eventually?

I know – I’m pretty disappointed right now. However, she does say there’s a resolution and something “really beautiful” so I’m going to believe that she gets her memory back by the end of the season. Especially since we see her at the docks with Rumple and Regina and the Charmings. I doubt they'd be talking about how Henry and Bae are in another land with a clueless Lacey right there. She must be Belle at that point.
April 18, 2013 at 3:39 pm #186929KebParticipantRight now I’m kinda terrified they’ll end on the “You really are as dark as people say” note on Sunday. That would be awful.
Keeper of Belle's Gold magic, sand dollar, cloaks, purple FTL outfit, spell scroll, library key, copy of Romeo and Juliet, and cry-muffling pillow, Rumple's doll, overcoat, and strength, and The Timeline. My spreadsheet: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6r8CySCCWd9R0RUNm4xR3RhMEU/view?usp=sharing
April 18, 2013 at 4:38 pm #186940PheeParticipantDon’t lose heart, Rumbelle shippers. We have the advantage of knowing that Rumbelle are most definitely endgame and they WILL get it together at some point. If they have a longer path that expected before they get there, that just serves to add more wonderful layers to how they know and love each other. And as we know from Belle herself, “love is layered”.
April 18, 2013 at 4:43 pm #186942laurieanneParticipantThanks Phee! *feeling better*
April 18, 2013 at 4:52 pm #186945angiebelleParticipantYes, of course! They are definitely endgame…and a real cannon couple as opposed to some of the other ships. (You know, I’d never even heard of “shipping” before Ouat!)
I don’t mind a long path- I just want to see the characters on the screen! Belle has had literally 5 minutes of screentime since “The Outsider.” I don’t care if she is Lacey, Amnesiac Belle, or herself- I just want her story being told.
April 18, 2013 at 4:55 pm #186947SlurpeezParticipantAnother Lacey article:
Emilie da Ravin: And the only way he can get her back to being Belle is if she falls in love with him. So when he sees that she is turned on by his bad side, he kind of rolls with that, obviously. And there’s some conflict for him because here’s this girl who now kind of really likes him because he’s the bad boy. And he loves and is in love with Belle and the way she makes him feel about himself in bringing out the good [in him]. But then on second thought, there’s this girl who looks like Belle and just accepts him and likes that he’s dark. It’s an interesting conflict for him.
