ParticipantI’m not going to watch the Sneak again but [[SPOILER]]
I think they’re making Hook off-putting. I know the CS fans eat this stuff up, but to me, it’s been so forced. Especially in 3B. And the widespread thought that he would make a good partner for Emma/father for Henry is maddening. Not saying he doesn’t deserve his own arc/redemption/happy ending, and I really like Colin as an actor… jussayin’.

ParticipantAh yes the flirting was so grossly inappropriate. And I’m not sure if that’s what he meant exactly. I suspect something happened that made him realize piracy isn’t the lifestyle for him anymore and maybe then got the message to get Emma. That’s what I concluded anyway.

Yes, this is what I was thinking too. Which is such a shame, because I used like Hook quite a bit and Colin is simply wonderful, but they’re ruining him.

ParticipantSo in that Sneak Peek, Emma called Hook out on being selfish, then he tried complimenting her on her magic and she said she’s not embracing it because she WANTS to rather because she HAS to, which shows how he doesn’t really understand her, then she says she’s gonna take Henry back to NYC, which pretty clearly indicates that she has no plans to start dating a pirate in SB. So that was a pretty great Sneak Peek IMO.
Sad part about it though, I’ll bet part of the reason she wants to take Henry away is because she knows how much it would hurt him to remember his dad, now that he’s gone.

ParticipantI’m thinking more and more and more shenanigans! I do have hope, and I will continue to have hope until the end of the season. I will return to the show (and gladly tweet Adam to announce it) when/if Neal/MRJ comes back AND the “real” death is handled well.
Note: if someone else must die, the death needs to be handled for real. Not the crap we got with Neal. All main characters deserve a death in-character with dignity for their fans.

ParticipantLol, well if you summarize it like that… then yes there were upsides to it.
Hadn’t even thought about that, yeah of course she’s trying to keep Henry from feeling that pain. I just thought that maybe she was more worried about the ‘let’s pretend we’re normal’ part of it. But I can see now that that isn’t all of it.

ParticipantSorry guys, I’ve kept myself away since last week. To be totally honnest, and this seems mad but it really gave me a blow, Neal dying. Which is stupid I guess, anyway.
I tried to watch the new episode, I’m into 12 minutes and ok, ONCE is done for me.
Hook, nice short plan on his sad, sad face, the first one to put dirt on Neal’s grave… No one saying anything or really seemed to care.
And honnestly, Rumple saying, and I LOVE Rumple, about Neal “he’s family”…. NO, JUST NO, He is not just “family”, he ain’t a long distance cousin or your aunt, he’s the f… son you spent so long to search for! That’s just an insult to the plot.
And Hook, if any CSers is reading this, stop because that will be ugly, sorry. Hook suddenly loves Bae so much and wants to respect his memory, and gets all teary and alllllllll so sad… After everything that happened, after leaving Bae to Pan, after having a childish, full of testosterone, fight about Emma with Neal? And now he tries to confort poor Henry?!
I am so pissed, I am on minute 12 and I’m seriously stopping. The writing of this show has just became a joke.
I’m disguisted and sad, I feel like a dumbass because a TV show should not make me disgusted and sad, but it does.
Seriously this is Bu..s…
Seriously -_-

Keymaster@Phee: well. When you put it like that….lol
But the problem is I don’t know if the WRITERS see it that way. I don’t know what the writers see anymore.

The writers seem to have changed course from their original conception of where they were headed (unless they always intended for Emma to choose Henry over every one else). Yes, Baelfire = Henry’s Dad= Emma’s True Love and while those facts remain true, what seems to have changed is where the story is going. Neal died. Now, unless A&E pull a fast one and have Zelena change history and thereby reverse Neal’s death, it seems like there is nothing preventing Hook from making a beeline for Emma except for Emma herself. It all depends on what she wants, whether she can see things clearly, and what exactly is HER idea of a happy life.
Emma told Hook in 3×12 that getting her memory back was like being awoken from a really good dream. The life she had in New York with Henry was really great and oddly enough, very closely resembled the life that Neal had carved out for himself in Manhattan. Emma was very happy to be away from magic and the dangers that often accompany it. Just look at what happened to Henry’s father! He paid dearly for the price of his father’s magic all his life (i.e. abandonment) and then upped and died from bringing back the dark one.
In my humble opinion, Emma is right to want to protect Henry. I don’t agree with Emma wanting to block out Henry’s knowledge of his dad, his grandparents or his other mom, but I get why Emma would not be thrilled to be learning magic. She sees is as a necessary means to an end, which is to defeat Zelena and protect her son. But Emma resents being the Savior, because she said the price of her magic is not getting to have a day off. Emma’s idea of a happy life is a normal one like the one she had. It was the kind of life Neal wanted too. Hook just doesn’t get it. I think Emma’s happy ending really could be choosing to remain a single mom to Henry.
"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy
