Slurpeez’s entire post just made me whimper. I just…*sigh* I was so worried what her secret would be. I thought, “time to ramp up the triangle once again and she’ll declare that she has feelings for Hook.” But this was…this was TRUE. And HONEST. And totally EMMA. It’s the scary big emotions she has trouble with. It’s easier for her to think him dead than to have to face all the love she feels becuase she is so scared of it and the power LOVE TRUE FREAKING LOVE can have. /dead

I was on the edge of my seat when Neal said, “you know this isn’t how it works” when she was trying to use his sword to open the cage. And I was gripping my seat handles as I feared that she was about to break his heart by admitting feelings for Killian, just like how Milha broke Bae’s heart when she fell for Hook. But, low and behold, Emma says she realizes she’s never stopped loving him and likely always will. She’s just emotionally still to vulnerable to deal with all of the past hurts at present. That is what NL does to the poor girl; here she is defenseless and without coverings. NL causes her still to feel like a lost little girl who never felt loved by her parents and who has a hard time believing she could ever feel special enough to be loved. Yet, here is Neal reassuring her he’s never going to stop fighting for her. He’s never going to give up hope that one day she’ll realize all the love that he has for her. And here is Snow telling her daughter that the only way she’ll ever get her happy ending is to hope. HOPE. Hope for a second chance.

And in a parallel flashback, here Regina was telling Ariel that there are no second chances at true love. Yet, even though Ariel thinks she missed the boat with Eric, I predict she’ll get her second chance with him. And we also know that when Regina said to Ariel there no second chances, Tinkerbell had already revealed to Regina her second chance by leading Regina to her soul mate (aka Robin Hood). And yet Regina ran away from it. It was just such an excellent parallel the writers made: Regina denying the possibility of second chance is contrasted with Neal’s statement in 3×3 that fighting for Emma and Henry is his second chance at a happy ending. *crying*

Oh, everything you said! And the crying, too! This show is going to ruin my heart.

Here is another beautiful GIF set from Tumblr:

Fight For You – Jason Derulo

Here is that song. It’s so perfect for SF! Can someone who is good with fan vids please make a SF vid using it?

And here is another Swan-Stilitskin family parallel GIF-set from Tumblr:

The way that Neal hugs Emma and his son, you can just see the joy and the love welling up deep from within Neal’s heart. This is the family he’s alway dreamt up, the family he is going to fight for, the family connected by true love.

Ah good point. Yes it should be at a time when she’s ready to be with him again. And then he gives it back. Emma: “you still have the necklace I gave back to you” Neal: “I kept it as a reminder to never let you go again”

😀 ahhh I can heaaar it

I would say I’m drowning in feels but …. It is more like this.

I loved this episode. I have wanted Ariel on there, more Regina & Snow, some heartfelt Snowing moments, and I didn’t want all the complexity washed out of Hook.  Did he tell the Charmings to get their blessing to ease his guilty conscience about not telling Emma? Or was it really that he felt caution was warranted, to check it out first then tell her?  Bless Snow, we’ll never know, because she is true to form: She can’t keep a secret!

Ha, parallel to Regina, Snow blabs, and “kills” Hook’s  shot at true love.   I do not think Hook felt True Love for Emma, for many reasons,  but I agree with whoever said it was for him the desire to move on from Milah that he felt when around Emma and mistook for more.  He’s carried that weight around for 300 years, and it was obvious from the way he spoke to Rumple when trying to kill him that Milah was still very much on his mind.  Basically, it was last week (in the show timeline I mean), so just like Emma needs time to integrate Neal back into her life, well, I think Hook needs time to really sort himself, become the man of honor again he wishes to be, and then meet someone.   (Still sad no Hookriel but Eric was really cute with Ariel, but it would have been the perfect set-up for Hookriel, if we’d seen Eric with someone else and Ariel all sad…..but oh well).

I know its far from over, and we barely got a smile out of Emma, but this was at once less and more than we thought in true A&E fashion.

I just want to post real quick and give an invisible high-five to all Swanfire lovers before going to bed. I absolutely LOVED this episode! The Echo caves was hands down the best scene yet. So many heartfelt moments between the characters. As much as it hurts to watch, I’m kinda relieved. No more hiding, it’s all out in the open. We knew it wasn’t going to be a smooth journey for Swanfire but this episode shown that they’ve taken their first step at healing!

I bawled into tears when Emma confessed she loves Neal and held my breath when she paused for that brief second. Like everyone I thought she was going to confess feelings for Hook since she heard his heartfelt confession. But she didn’t she just laid out all the pain and hurt she still feels from their past but that she still loves him and “ALWAYS WILL” *Cue me tearing up as I watch this scene*

I love that Neal didn’t interrupt her, he just sat their and listen to her confession. And he wasn’t upset. After she finished he just immediately embraced her and wrapped his arms around her showing how much he cared. *Cue me losing it at this point and sobbing like a baby*

Then Neal saying he had a secret too and that he “Will never stop fighting for her.” right in front of Emma. My heart just leap when he said that.

Funny how a simple embrace had me feeling like my heart was twisted in knots and my eyes welling up with tears, then a “passionate” kiss that just happens an episode ago.

Those new Swanfire GIFS are bringing me to tears again! UGH! I think this is all I can handle for tonight…

I have several boxes of tissues in the corner if anyone needs… T_T

I just rewatched this episode. I’m still on an SF high from the amount of feelings but there was the ending scene between Neal and Emma where she said that she wished she could change the way she felt (re: it all being a trick) but she can’t. Something tells me Hook, was watching all that, knows he’s not out of the game with that line. She needs to not only be glad he’s alive but be willing to face her feelings and right now Emma isn’t willing to do it. Which leaves a Hook-sized door open. It’s far from over, like KFC said.

Yes, I got the feeling Hook was watching, too. This is only the beginning of a full-fledged triangle. We knew it was coming and it’s here. We may not like it, but it’s going to happen.

Unlike some ships that I might be crossing the plank for (I think CaptainFairy is taking on passengers of the distressed Hookriel ship) I will never leave this one. I will go down with it. Never surrender. Sinking under the waves while clutching a swan keychain pendant and a dreamcatcher. Of course, that’s never going to happen since we’re endgame. 😛 There will be no water filling up the bilge on this ship.

Jennifer Morrison tweeted that Emma has feelings for both Hook and Neal. She is going to be conflicted, but right now, is going to get back to saving Henry.

When all is said and done, the question is whether Emma can have hope for herself to have a happy ending. And that is what Snow wants to impart to her daughter by helping Emma to no longer feel like an unlovable orphan. Does Emma even think she deserves to be loved? She has not had the luxury of growing up knowing the security of parents who love her. It’s all very new to her. So for now, Emma’s journey includes her learning to accept her parents’ love first and learning to forgive them. Only later, after she’s learned to give her parents a second chance to be her parents, can she realize that just possibly, she has hope for her own happy ending.

I saw that tweet. I think what we’ve been saying for awhile is about to come to pass: everything goes on hold until they get back to SB someday. I’m exhausted already thinking about it. So long as they don’t have Emma vacillate between both guys and they ACTUALLY resolve it, then I’ll consider it an okay story.

I  do think most of Emma’s hesitation is about her own reluctance to face all the past pain, her insecurities rather than out of attraction or desire to be with Hook.   These cagey, cagey writers….but we must be patient! As I said…Ariel is the name of a heavily contested city in the wartorn zone between Palestine and Israel.  Perfectly appropriate description of Emma’s heart now, with Hook and Neal both trying to stake a claim–but ultimately this episode didn’t show us that Emma thought much about Hook that way, it seemed pretty one-sided from his part.  We’re supposed to believe in Hope, and I think Second Chances (where oh where is that poster! just make it official already!).
