Well yeah that crossed my mind, but then I decided to be depressing.

I’m with you though. I love the optimism from Heather and Phee and DSB, as always, but…I’m just gonna sit here in SadTown Hall and mourn.

ParticipantHugs back, RG. I totally get you, I have no blame for you assuming the worst!! It’s a logical and reasonable conclusion. I just… my gut says A&E have something going on with this finale, and I choose to believe it’s not a reverse of the storytelling they’ve done recently. They’ve gone some crappy storytelling recently, but there are a few things they’ve stayed consistent on… this is one of them.
Above all, I need to remind myself – if we are getting MO322, we will not hear a WHISPER of it before the show airs. If the weird retweet is a shout-out to it (which I understand is a giant if,) then I will be surprised we even got that much. But then if it’s a shout-out to Snowing – which I lean towards – why not say that? (FWIW, I sent it to roomie and she felt it boded well for SF. She is very very familiar with the lobster thing.) Anyways, the entire point of MO322 is that A&E want to, JUST ONCE, actually surprise their fanbase-that-knows-all.
(And actually? We know that, now. I’ve been stating it for a while, but last week’s Ginny interview confirmed they have a surprise up their sleeve. So clearly I am in the right line of thinking that they are trying to hold some things closer to the vest.)
Adam was responding to some fans earlier today about an article that was put up, with very clear disdain. The article was with regards to SQ and how SQers would hate the ep because it was all CS, but regardless – his attitude towards the article episode “recap” was very, “Wow, that’s not at all what happens.” Promos are designed to be misleading, BTS and promo pics are strategically released. I know they often tell parts of the story. But just as often, they don’t – like when we get the green-screen pics with Young Cora/Leo/Eva and pieced it all together wrong. There are often large chunks of episode missing; the end of 3×20 with the proposal, Rumple doing whatever he did to Z, and the magic re-activating the portal were all unspoiled, right? Definitely, as GA, roomies were all, “WHAT?!?!” One was just shocked, the other was dismayed because she thought we were finally DONE with this arc, lol.
“Why don’t you try cursing someone who I’d actually want to kiss” said with disdain – after a full season of trying to let the guy down gently – does not turn into TLK in one two-hour “movie.” They’ve had twenty episodes to show Emma starting to soften towards him, and she’s only gotten MORE annoyed, to the point where she’s finally putting her foot down (in 19 & 20.) It’s not being lit in a manner of someone who “doth protest too much,” but rather someone who has grown impatient with being subtle – especially when the guy not taking the hint is now starting to endanger her family based on his delusions. My money is on her being hacked off at him about the portal situation, but opting to make the best of it because he’s all she’s got to work with.
I can’t promise they won’t head towards CS in 322, or ever, but I’m confident we’re not getting a CS TLK. Really, no one should put stock in my confidence – I don’t want to be responsible for raising false hope – but I guess I’m choosing to emotionally detach while maintaining logical hope. We’ll see maybe 4 minutes out of 80+ and there is a ton that can happen in the other 75 minutes. I expect twists and turns that are far from what have been implied.
Anyways, I don’t know what I’m rambling about anymore. I just… there’s a reason I’ve always said I’ll stay until 322. This story’s not done yet, and my motto when it comes to the SF story is “it’s not over.” Might I be wrong, yup, absolutely but at this point I’ll have egg on my face either way, so I might as well stick with it. I say we get a Hook-for-Neal (Bae) literal or metaphorical death switch and a SF TLK by the end of 322. In for a penny in for a pound, hey?
Cause this story needs some mending & a better happy ending...
