Okay, but…how do we bring back Rumple then? Or get Emma & Henry back to their families?
Well after what Rumple just did in present day, he’s earned a timeout in the Naughty Corner of Eternal Goo. They can always find another magical whatever to be able to summon him back again if Zelena dies in the past and he never gets resurrected with the Key in FTL. The whole second half of the finale could be Emma and Henry reuniting with their family if they end up back in NYC if Zelena dies in the past. Actually that could work nicely, the first half is Emma witnessing all this stuff with her parents in the world she came from and finally accepting that yes, being where they are IS her home, and then the second half, which is called There’s No Place Like Home could be about finding a way for everyone to reunite if Emma and Henry end up back in NYC and everyone else is back in FTL if Zelena dies in 321 in the past (wasn’t Bex only credited for 321?). Just as long as Emma retains her memories from her time travel adventure (and retaining memories of events that have been undone is part of the baelfire principal in WoT), she’d want to find a way back to her family.
[adrotate group="5"]@Heather about your theory, the thing with MC happened during the Christmas break, back then the script of 315 was already with the cast, so cannot be anything related to that, however the MC could have happened bc him knew that MRJ was written of the show, and somehow, that ship discussion( Mc said that they spoke about ships and like SQ was the worst of them) can in BTS on the show, maybe that neal was gone to make CS happen, and MC simply tired of all that crap of ships, that made his friend being written off, simply losts it. Also find it very ood that Keegan was only used for the cemetery scene and will be on 322( i bet in a fb about sending baby emma through the portal), maybe she also said something about what they were doing to MRJ.
Also, i thought about what the fans wanted to see and never knew, i wonder and since a pic of a tree was show, could it be that this thing was , what would be emma life if she was raise by snow in our world( that was the original plan, snow entering the wardrobe bf emma was born, but again this would change a lot, unless snow had a spell that allowed her to not age.

Also, if Past Rumple and Future Hook cross paths, that is going to present some interesting dynamics. Past Rumple still had a vendetta against Hook for stealing his wife, and Rumple might wonder what Hook is doing back in the EF after 250 odd years and why Hook isn’t trying to enact revenge for his hand and Milha’s death.
Past Rumple (to Present Hook): Why are you here, Pirate? The last time we met you vowed to get your revenge. Well, here’s your chance! You took my wife, yet you claimed you were wronged!
Emma (to Hook): What is he talking about?
Rumple: Why Milha of course.
Emma (to Hook): What? You never told me Milha was married to Rumplesitltksin! You were in love with Neal’s mother?
Hook (to Emma): It’s a long story, love.
Rumple (gowing impatient): I hate to interrupt this little spat, but how do you two know each other exactly? And who’s Neal? Milha never had a son by that name!

Hook:(tries to back away from Rumple)
Rumple (uses a Jedi grip on Hook): Tell me everything you know about my son!This could be how Emma discovers the real past about Hook, Rumple, Milha and Baelfire. Boy, does she need to know that important information! Even if that information doesn’t phase Emma, she needs to know if there is going to be any real forgiveness and forward momentum for Emma and Hook. Hook talks about Emma needing to be honest with herself. Well Hook needs to be honest too! He’s been keeping important things from Emma. Time for Emma to see all the skeletons in his closet if she’s going to make a real, informed decision about a future with Hook.

Yes, I fully agree. Rumple is going to at least demand information in exchange for his help. Maybe more. Emma may owe him a favor again, and maybe that will include going to Oz to kill Zelena.

Jaxer, yep, Rumple always needs a payment, and you’re right, information about his son may be what he demands.
And I still think Emma will HAVE to reveal details to him if he’s even gonna help her in the first place. If she says, “So I inadvertently got Snow White captured by the Queen, can you help me out?” Rumple would counter with, “Well who is Snow White to you and why do you care…and why would you suppose I would care about the fate of Snow White enough to help you free her?” And if he just thinks Emma is a nobody, he’s perfectly capable of finding a way to free Snow without Emma’s help. So I think it’s likely unavoidable that Emma will spill her guts to him.

I’m not sure we do get Rumple back, at least not by means of a life-for-a-life. We might, but then again, we might not. He was willing to give the ultimate sacrifice in 3×11. Maybe that sacrifice will stand. Or maybe, just maybe, Belle will successfully find “another way” to bring back Rumple, as she told Neal in 3×15 before he paid the ultimate sacrifice with his life.

I know you’re in Le Tent of Doom. That’s totally cool. Neverthelss, I think I’m slowly becoming more open to at least the possibility of MO322. I’m not banking on it, nor would I place money on it. I’m not even claiming MRJ will rejoin the regular full-time cast. What I’m saying is that there are plenty of good reasons to think he could make a cameo appearance in the finale. I think Baelfire could very well get his second chance, but that it will take another entire season for Emma and Rumple to be reunited with him again. Baelfire was introduced as their idea of a happy ending in 3×4. I know things change, but I just see the writers being “trickers” (as Glinda called the Wizard of Oz in 3×20). A&E are the men behind the green curtain making promises they can’t seem to deliver…until they do one day. Zelena said it wasn’t idle cruelty to think Rumple’s son is alive at some point in time. I’m not saying we can trust anything said by Zelena or the tricksters, but it’s at least an interesting idea to ponder for someone like me who enjoys riddles, puzzles, and mystery.

Oh there are a 100000001 reasons why he could make a cameo or even return full time. Like coherent narrative and staying true to the poetic vision they once had and not giving into what is “hot”
I just don’t know if I can trust the writers to actually remember any of that.
His hasty OOC death, the totally crappy funeral, the “let’s all forget about Neal” from the entire cast of characters, the massive amount of rug sweeping being done to make Hook look like a loving step papa and not the man who sold Bae to the Lost Boys, Emma’s “past is in the past” + not wearing the Swan Pendant which btw she’s not wearing in FTL past events. At least not with the red ball gown, and Rumple’s whole “I am going to honor my son’s sacrifice by killing Zelena but not actually going after him in the past” of 318…
All of it screams, IMO, trying to force the audience to forget that he was ever there in order make way for something else.
If there is a cameo by MRJ, then I predict it will be watching him die all over again with the message that “whatever happened, happened.”
