ParticipantHi guys.
I finally caught up on everything and now I don’t even know where to begin.
Just a couple of pages ago I was actually getting really hopeful and excited to add input and then I read the interviews..
First of all, if any man spoke to me like Hook speaks to Emma my reaction would be this:
and this:
And the fact that A&E (and so many others) think that those words are romantic literally makes my stomach hurt.
Even though I just popped out of lurkville I’m not sure how much longer I can stick around here. But you all are so fantastic that I’ll probably stay, just in this thread, though.
For me, Neal was the main factor that brought realness to a show about fairy tale characters. His action and reactions connected to real-life (before his OOC moments) and his romance with Emma connected to real-life. I would choose space over constant pursuance any day!
Anyway, I’m rambling a bit. Thank so much, guys, for all of your posts throughout this thread; they’ve really made me feel less crazy about connecting to a tv show like I once did with OUAT.

ParticipantI still have hope that Once can tell a good story. We’re still in the middle.
But yeah, these interviews/press releases/sneaks for the finale are not the most hopeful unless you’re a big fan of CS.

ParticipantWhoever posted all those STOP TALKING gifs a bunch of pages ago, there aren’t enough of those gifs in the universe. Eddy in particular needs to keep his damn mouth shut if that’s what’s gonna come out when he opens it. Adam had already got a bunch of @ replies from people disgusted with the message they were sending in another interview, so I imagine as more interviews got published, his @ replies blew up even more. I hope they’ll come to appreciate that the message they’re sending with these interview answers is that they condone behaviour that many people in the real world have SUFFERED through. Behaviour that is absolutely not acceptable!
The thing that keeps me from buying into the crap they spew in interviews on this topic is that Jane Espenson is also a driving force behind this show. A&E might be the top tier, but Jane’s not far below them. She’s a producer as well as arguably the strongest writer on the team, and she’s a strong, intelligent woman. If they really have written the finale that shows Emma finally breaking down and giving in, then why would Jane even jokingly tweet a pic with a caption that Hook is a standup guy? As little confidence as I have in A&E, I’m confident that Jane would flip the table, walk out and never look back if they insisted they were gonna have Emma cave.
As for their comments about Neal, all I can summon is a “pffffft”. They’re proven lying trolls and I wouldn’t have expected them to even remotely imply in interviews that there’s a possibility Neal would come back even if it’s a thing they were gonna do. So, pffffft, they can say whatever they want and it’s not gonna get me off the Conspiracy Train.

Here is my conspiracy theory: Phee is Jane. It’s all making sense now. 🙂

ParticipantCatching up on those interviews in full and in that same interview where Eddy was all “I can lie to you but Neal’s 100000% dead” he also blatantly stated that Zelena won’t be in the finale. Which is a direct contradiction of the press release. I’m inclined to not believe anything that comes outta their mouths.

KeymasterCatching up on those interviews in full and
technically she’s only listed in 321? So I think that might be the loophole?

LOL Surely that fanfic bit I wrote after 315 should prove that I do NOT have the writing skillz of Jane. Seriously though, I’d be genuinely shocked if she still wanted to be involved with the show if they’re gonna portray Emma as giving in to Hook’s insistance.

ParticipantThey’ve said a million times that they wrote the finale as a movie, not two separate eps. If she’s credited for the first half of the movie, she’s in the damn movie and Eddy’s a liar.
