I’m not sure that this will be welcome here, but I’m giving it a whirl. I get it, and I sympathize with what you all are dealing with. I loved Neal’s character and I love MRJ even more (even though I kept expecting him to say “Sookie” in some creepy Creole accent). I really didn’t want to see him go.
Personally, I am a Captain Hook fan, so whenever I saw comments about fan pandering, I dismissed them. I truly wanted to believe that Adam and Eddy were “telling they story they want to tell,” as they’ve said 900 times. However, after last night, I agree. They are pandering. The choice to use Frozen so soon proves it, in my opinion. The movie didn’t even exist a year ago, so there is no way that this is where they envisioned the story going. I hate to admit it, but I really do think there was something a little more sinister behind Neal’s story line and that it was changed to suit certain fan opinion. It sucks. I’m sorry.

I wrote this fic a couple of weeks ago; it needed some revision so I am just now posting it. It’s a strange little story that just kind of wrote itself, went a few places I didn’t intend, but ultimately, it’s a quick “fix it.” It’s intended to be a standalone, I think.
Feedback would be welcomed – I have a longer story I need to write (a plot-driven fix-it and a collection of conversations we should have seen,) so I’d love to hear what needs improvement. You can message me or stick it in the thread, whatever.
