no they don’t Marty.
They take projects during the summer, when ONCE isn’t airing. But they don’t take new shows or movies DURING production of ONCE.He’s not even listed for the full cast for S4 per ABC’s upfronts.

I know someone else who loved him and REALLY tried to save him. lost his dagger in trying, but no one will ever mention THAT. not even the witness who SAW it.
IF he comes back, like I said, I imagine it’d only be at the very end of the show’s run, so a year or maybe several years from now, and I wouldn’t imagine it’d be a season long arc, it’d just be the big finale arc for the whole shebang, (a SF movie, like the S3 final was a CS movie). So if by that time MRJ had another gig on another show, they could still make it happen. Right now though, he’s definitely moving on to other things and won’t be on Once.

Your analysis of Emma makes so much sense, and it makes Neal’s death even more painful and pointless. I’ve always identified closer to Neal, but somewhere in between him and Emma, so I’ve had trouble really understanding her lack of any real attempt to save him, but this makes everything a lot clearer.

there was no story progress in the whole 3B. no progress at all.
and why was Hook not dead in the future “it wasn’t for the lack of effort”? the lack of effort on WHO’S part??
if I remember S2 correctly (and I sure as heck do – I watched it enough times as it used to be my fav season)
Hook put in ALOT of effort into killing Gold, not the other way around! and Emma should KNOW that.
but yeah… the story can’t make sense if CS has to take center stage until the last SF finale.
the sad music when CS were kissing was all the evidence that this Rumbelle wedding/funeral needed to show us that this relationship is a sad one.
Belle believed that this being together will last, so when SHE talked we saw snowing. but Gold knew better. so they flashed to OQ and CS.
it will just be an illusion of happiness for him. and temporary. he knows what he is about to do (free his son from the past and be erased from existence in the process) but he can’t tell Belle that.
he learned a short time ago that he has two choices as to how to live out the rest of this time: in screaming agony, or in a much more pleasant way. he opts for the more pleasant way even though it means lying to his beloved.
