That’s really cute of Jared, and many other actors on the show have expressed similar opinions, but I don’t want SwanFire together just because of Henry. I think Neal is honestly the better match for her. Emma and Hook do have chemistry and they do understand each other, but Emma and Neal are a better fit, and getting together just for a child is disastrous.

It was actually tweeted by someone who doesn’t ship SF, and was outlining the reasons why they thought they wouldn’t work. But the tweet about not being together just for Henry is the one that Adam actually replied to, agreeing with it. So it’s safe to say that when SF do get together, it won’t just be because it’s what Henry wants.@RumplesGirl wrote:

I’m willing to give them a pass because there’s only so much one can say with the 140 characters allowed by Twitter messages. I don’t think Jared or any of the other actors intended to suggest that Emma and Neal should end up together just because they’re Henry’s parents, I think it’d be along the lines of both characters so clearly loving each other and having a son on top of that that binds them together that the FEELS for them to be a complete loving family far trumps any other chemistry might have with other suitors.

Tumblr is kind of scary I think! I feel like a little kid at the edge of a deep pool, then I choke and go back to the safety of the kiddie end where I don’t have to know how to make a blog.
What did Snow think about how August knew the name Neal, when all Snow said was “Henry’s father”?
Maybe she just thought Emma had revealed more to August than to her. She does kind of blink rapidly and pause, then talk about how Neal is engaged to someone he met in NY. She doesn’t ask August about what he was hoping, or why that was tied to his regrets and mistakes. So I know its just another little thing that isn’t filled in, like Regina wondering what Gold’s son was doing at the well, worrying so much about Henry. Since we know Regina didn’t find out he’s Henry’s father until later. Still, it seems kind of odd in hindsight to me she didn’t say, “wait, what do you know about Neal?”

I was just surprised Regina reaction to Neal all around.
Tumblr isn’t that bad. I don’t post much at all and usually when I do it’s about Rumplestiltskin or knitting…sometimes both. 😀 Surprisingly I get more nudity and explicit content when I search knitting/yarn/textile tags than when I search Ouat. I have learned to stay clear of searching for “fishhook”. Do it at your own risk and not at work. If you’re looking for Hook/Ariel search for Hookriel.
Phee, your banner is fantastic. I usually don’t do stuff with SwanFire on tumblr, although I should start supporting them more. I do get the feeling that most SwanFire fans are resigned to CaptainSwan happening, but I guess fanfiction can always fill a need where the show doesn’t.

Some feel resigned, but some kind of are the opposite. I personally feel like I do with all theories we throw out there. I am reluctant to ever commit fully since there is so much we don’t know. We don’t have all the puzzle pieces, so all I know is what looks more fairytale to me at this point in the story.

LOL I only started checking it out regularly while the forums were down and I needed a daily OUAT fix. Haven’t posted anything myself, (was gonna post the large version of the bit I made for the centre of my sig banner, but apparently your tags don’t show in searches unless you’re an active user, which I’m not, I just like lurking).

I hadn’t really thought about that, but now that you mention it, it’s a fair question. Guess we’ll just have to assume that Emma had mentioned August’s involvement to Snow at some point.

Thanks Josephine! 🙂 When it comes to ships for Emma, CS and SQ dominate tumblr by far. Wasn’t until I actually did a specific search for SF that I noticed the stuff on there for them too.

At the end of the day, Adam and Eddy are the only ones who truly know what Emma’s endgame is gonna be, but it’s stuff like what Schmacky summarised in that post that makes me think that I’ll be surprised if SF isn’t endgame. It just makes the most sense IMO. They’re the best fit, for each other, and for the style of story this show is based on.It’s true that Emma isn’t a typical fairytale character, because she’s a product of our world, so you could argue that her happy ending shouldn’t necessarily follow that fairytale model. But at the end of the day, no matter where she grew up, she’s still a fairytale princess, this show is about fairytale love stories, and SF has been playing out like a fairytale that ultimately ends with the destined Girl and Boy overcoming the odds and living happily ever after.
I think CaptainSwan and SwanFire are both going to happen. Neither one can be endgame without the other having been played out. As for which will be endgame, that remains to be seen. However, Neal betrayed Emma. No matter what his reasons, whether they were justified or not, a betrayal is still a betrayal. His actions have affected her life. She went to jail and now has trouble trusting people because of him. That aspect can’t just be ignored.
