• Don’t Be Afriad – Elliott Yamin A song from Neal’s point of view, asking Emma not to turn away from him and not to be afraid
• Fight for Love – Elliott Yamin. A song about Neal’s resolve to fight for Emma.
• Bruno Mars – When I Was Your Man A song from a man’s perspective, from Neal’s, about regrets and wishing he could do it right
• Katy Perry – Unconditionally A song from a woman’s perspective, works well for Emma and her love for Neal.
• Bastille – Flaws – A song from Emma and/or Neal’s perspective about flaws and starting again
• X&Y – Coldplay  – A song that works from both Neal&Emma’s perspective about trying to fix it
• Jason Mraz – I Won’t Give Up – Neal’s song of love for Emma
• Sarah McLachlin -Fallen A song that works form both Emma and Neal’s perspective
• Your Guardian Angel by The Red Jump Suit Apparatus. A song from Neal’s perspective about proving to Emma that he’s strong enough to be the one and that he won’t let her down again.
• My Sacrifice – Creed. Love is sacrifice. Pretty much Neal’s life.

Neal’s shadow-gate seems even sillier now we know all you need is a simple candle in a coconut to trap it. OOOH dangerous. It’s not even like he needed a special magical box (but look, Belle found one!). A match and a candle, and a coconut, that’s the danger he was exposing Roland too

’ll wait to see if more happens, but the way that scene was filmed, with Mulan and RH smiling at Neal, the music, then the follow up of Roland being put to sleep under the window–all of it had a very reassuring feeling to me

The actual next scene at the dark castle has RH saying that Roland is perfectly 100% ok and that there is not a scratch on him as he sleeps blissfully.

Yes, Neal showed a willingness to cross a line here, just like Emma, doing what needs to be done pretty or not to get her son back. He didn’t cross that far I think.

I saw somethig on Tumblr that went like this:

Neal: I used a kid to get to Neverland

Emma: I let Regina take a heart and control a young boy so we could talk to our son

Neal: Wow is he ok?

Emma: totally fine! Yours?

Neal: Yup. I had Mulan there

Emma: oh dude, totes fine

Maybe Emma will click with RH and we can have new angsty triangle!

Also fans said she called out Hooks name, yes she did, but you know what else I heard, “Emma go away, save yourself.”

Also: she was about to be attacked by a shadow and Hook was in front of her. She was looking in that direction while Neal was behind her. Staging. It’s a thing

Hook has fallen hard for Emma and seems to be very far ahead with his feeling for her. Yes they shared a kiss but he is acting like he has a claim to heart already. Emma herself has stated it wasn’t important (whether you believe her or not). I also disliked how he played on Emma’s vulnerability. I couldn’t help but feel he only said that he believed she would save Henry because he knew how much she needed to hear it. He seems to only show an interest in Henry to appease her.

But has he really fallen for her or has he just realized that he can get over Milah and is misunderstanding his emotions? I’m torn on this

I wonder if Hook’s character backtrack has to do with being in Neverland. Is there a part of his personality that is weak and that he will have to work to correct if he is going to have healthy relationships?

I hope you’re right. Sometimes I feel like they are rewriting the entire Neal character in order to make Hook look better. Neal needs to absolutely apologize and recognize Emma’s hurt but why is it ok that Hook just tried to kill them all 5 days ago!! And then let’s focus on that story for marketing reasons!

Well I don’t have a pretty picture, but just to remind everyone of all the characters rooting for Neal: pretty much everyone we’ve seen him meet.

Characters rooting for Hook: Pretty much none of the characters we’ve seen him meet. The Charmings and Emma are tolerating him because they need help and Emma relates because she too was once a loner/outlaw type (and she relates to Regina for the same reason, as someone in need of a second chance).   Hook’s left a long list of people with reason to dislike him behind so it is not even “obstacles” in the way of Emma and Hook–it’s that Hook’s been making choices that hurt other people, and in turn they might not predisposed to want to see him happy and with Emma (in terms of their reactions in the show, like Belle, Archie, Aurora, Mulan…etc).

Can I just say that Neal has had the right priorities all along? His goal is to save Henry, not to talk to Hook about who kissed whom. Hook was the one egging on Neal. I think Emma already is starting recognize this and she will put the most weight on the man who really values her son, Henry.
