ParticipantThanks so much for the well wishes guys. I’m feeling better today so hopefully the antibiotics are kicking this thing pretty good. 🙂
Agree with Phee about the title for 3×11. If there isn’t a little something SF related with that title, I will probably be a little disappointed because it’s been such a big part of Neal & Emma’s lives to this point. They’ve always been trying to find a home so hopefully something good happens between them and OMG, the feels if he does actually give her back that necklace! Break out the Kleenex, LOL

KeymasterAgreed about the title for 311. Home has always been a very important concept for SF so hopefully we get a little SF taste.

ParticipantI just read the title for 3×11. Hurray, for “Going Home”! We all know the significance of home for both Emma and Neal, since they’ve always been looking for it, and dreamt of making a home together in Tallahasee. I’m so hopeful that upon arriving in SB, Emma and Neal are going to look at each other, smile and say “home” in a sentimental way as they hold Henry’s hands, him in the middle of them. Even that would be enough to make me smile with delight. I have faith that the writers have been bringing up the word home subtly in S3 with that very idea in mind: Emma looked up at the star map and reminisced about “home” with the exact tone she did in “Tallahassee” which I believe was deliberately done. Also, Neal has said a few times his mission is to get Henry and Emma home. He knows everything hinges on him, since he alone knows how to navigate home, and he is the one, not Hook, who will get his family back where they belong. *SF feels*

ParticipantThe Key-chain has to come back eventually? It such a big symbol that just simply can’t go away!

I’m like 91.6% sure that Nealfire has the necklace in his pocket or bag.

Oh, I don’t think it’ll be forgotten. I think by the end of S3 we could very well see it around Emma’s neck again. *prayer circle for SF*
Also, I just saw this image on Tumblr which so well describes how Neal must be feeling about the Hook and Emma kiss. Poor Neal!

ParticipantPhee: I’ve been sorta watching the voting, but haven’t participated because I didn’t really like any of the options that much, and I’m also just a lurker on tumblr, not an active poster. I remember back before the voting began, I saw a post where someone suggest Braeves, and I instantly loved that one. It fits his character so well, embraces all the sacrifice he’s made and how selfless he is, and how he’s still hanging in there all this time later, and especially now with his resolve to fight for Emma…I just think Braeves would be PERFECT.(ETA that I sent in a message to LilRedSoupBowl suggesting Braeves be considered for the vote. Hope I did it right, I’m not used to sending messages and posting stuff on tumblr.)
That was me who posted about Braeves! I never formally submitted it to her so it was never in the brackets. I’m so glad you did!!!My original Braeves post:Â http://swanfirethroughandthrough.tumblr.com/post/59719774447/baelfire-the-brave

ParticipantRewatched 307 (cuz I <3 this ep so much, I'm still an ep behind on timelining and need to do Wonderland)...
When they were in Dark Hollow, Neal's calling out to Emma and yelling for her to just leave them and get to safety when his shadow's being ripped from his body. He's just concerned about her--and the one thing she cares about, Henry.
And later he's the one to apologize for being childish with the lighter; his taking her aside parallels Hook's doing so, but he does it only to say that Henry's awesome and worth being their sole focus and even that if she doesn't choose him, it's okay.
Nealfire's so sweet and self-sacrificing and wonderful. Oh, and, as Mulan and Charming (in this ep!) have pointed out...Love is Sacrifice.

I think the writers have purposefully set up this new dynamic: Neal allows for Emma to choose Henry, because Neal himself will always choose Henry, whereas Hook will always push Emma to make a decision, and in so doing, she’ll be less inclined than ever to choose Hook. Her focus has always been Henry ever since S1. If a man can’t be happy with that decision, then Emma has no room in her life for him. Neal is already part of Emma’s life because of Henry, whereas Hook is miffed and acting jealous that Emma chose her son. That is a glaring red flag that Hook is a man who thinks only of himself, whereas Neal will always put his son first, as we’ve already seen him nearly sacrifice his life for his kid. Now, may I ask, which man is ultimately the best choice as far as both Emma and Henry are concerned? The best man is Neal, Henry’s father, who loves his son and Emma.

Participant@MsKt86 – Is there anyway you could make a video with the song At Arms’ Length by Plumb from the vantage point of Emma? The lyrics have SF written all over them!
That is a wonderful song and its perfect for SF. I was picturing the scenes in my head as I was listening to it. I’m working on a Neal Cassidy video right now, but I’ll see what I can do 😀
