Having just seen the sneaky peeky for 308….FEELINGS. Omgosh. FEELINGS. Emma and Neal are working in tandem to get their son back from Pan and Emma is now witnessing Neal’s heroic actions. When Neal says he promises they will save John and Michael. OMG. Neal goes above and beyond. He’s not in this *just* for Emma. This is HIS CHILD and he and Emma *get* that. Wendy is totally going to tell Emma her whole history with Nealfire. Guys. GUYS!

We also have both Emma and Neal both try to take pan on right away to get Henry back.

Another parallel theme beside Roland and the Heart I noticed in this season, we had Swanfire family all take a leap of faith. Emma leaped off the ship, Neal leaped out of castle window onto a shadow, and Henry leaped off a cliff to fly. They all took a leap of faith, because family and home was driving them. We need Swanfire-Family in the yellow beetle!!!
When Nealfire jumped out of the window in 303 I actually screamed at my TV “Just like Emma!!!!!!!” and then cried.
more thoughts on 308 peek So I normally don’t put much thought into staging, where everyone is standing ect, but I couldn’t help notice that in the peek, Hook is the farthest away from Emma/the rest of the family. He’s almost totally outside the circle. I DO NOT LIKE this theory but..is anyone else concerned that the Darlings and Hook have history that might not be…palatable.

I have this image of Emma driving, and Henry bouncing around and sticking his head in between the front seats to ask them something, and Emma’s all, “Kid, would ya sit down and put your seat belt on,” and she’s distracted and runs a stop sign, and Neal’s just sitting next to her, quietly chuckling to himself, remembering the moment they met.
They both used the words “Home” Emma mentions Home after seeing the stars and Neal says I got to get my family Home.
Home is such a big thing for them. They were almost home, back in the day. Their time will come!

Adding to this, Rumple said to Emma and Neal that they weren’t willing to do whatever it takes to defeat PP, and yet, both Emma and Neal have been making tough choices to get Henry back (e.g. using Roland to hitch a ride on the shadow in 3×3 and Emma telling Regina to take Devin’s heart to get a message to Henry in 3×5). Yet, when faced with killing lost boys, neither Emma nor Neal would cross that line. Emma saw the look of abandonment on a lost boy’s face in 3×2 which stayed her hand from killing him. Also, Neal told Rumple that they don’t kill children in 3×4. So, both parents are trying to get back their son by making difficult choices but not crossing the line of killing children.

Yes, and we know the title for 3×11 is “Going Home” not just almost home, but actually going there! *hope for SF*

Yes, I think it’s fully in the realm of possibilities, as much as I dislike the notion. Hook standing furthest away from Wendy suggests he might not want her to recognize him, for if she did, she might divulge a dark secret about what “dirty work” he did while in PP’s employee. Bombshell moment ensues later on

Me too! I noticed a parallel between Henry and Nealfire, showing how nobility is something that runs on his dad’s side of the family too. In 3×7, Henry promised Wendy that he’d come back for her, and then he told PP he was willing to make a “sacrifice” for her since he thinks by saving magic, he’ll save Wendy. Wendy also said that Baelfire would do anything for his family, as we saw him sacrifice himself in 2×21 for her brothers. Also in the new sneak peek for 3×8, Neal swears to Wendy he’ll save John and Michael again.

Henry and Neal don’t need to believe that they are heroes. They already are.

True, THEY may not need convincing, but there are sadly a lot of haters out there who can’t stand either Neal or Henry. A lot of people hate Neal for what he did to Emma and how he reacted to Rumple in the present day and an equal number of Regina fans can’t stand Henry for not wanting to live with Regina. I think those heroic parallels are being strongly drawn for the sake of skeptics who stubbornly refuse to think of Neal and Henry in a positive light.
ETA: It’s interesting that Emma reminds Neal of Wendy. So I’m thinking Emma and Wendy probably share a lot in common. I’m thinking Wendy is going to play a large role in helping Emma to shed her a lot of her misconceptions about Neal and to start to see him in a new, positive light.
