People have posted some things recently that he has been filming pretty often but yeah, getting some word out about him on set today would be a VERY good thing for my poor overprotective-of-Neal/MRJ fangirlness. 😉

BTW-Anyone else notice how quiet the cast has been on Twitter lately?! That is beyond odd and kind of alerts me that they must be very busy with filming right now to have abandoned tweeting so much when they were all tweeting maniacs up until the last two weeks.

I really need a mountain of cookies and hugs. I just saw a side-by-side image comparing Hook in his black coat and Emma in her red coat to Wesley, the man in black, and Buttercup, who wore a red dress in “The Princess Bride.” I keep telling myself that Hook can’t be Emma’s true love….but I’m worried where the writers are going with this. Are they just playing games to satisfy CS fans only to reveal later Emma will choose Neal? Or are Hook and Emma really Wesley and Buttercup? *sigh*

The writers cannot be that stupid or unoriginal. These are the guys who wrote Lost….I doubt they’re using some one else’s story, especially a classic one like that, to help tell their own story. I’m starting to get worried though too that they’re listening to the way too loud ‘majority’ and not telling their own story anymore. They’ve laid way too many pieces to start changing things now and quite frankly, that will be a deal breaker for me with this show if they change something because of the fans. 🙁

Not sure if I had to spoiler parts of that but I did anyway just in case.

Ok All of that is fan interpretation. Emma has always worn red coats. So did Neal in Tallahassee, a much more muted red leather coat. I still think Emma got her red leather coat because it reminded her of Neal. I don’t think Emma is Buttercup because that’s not her story at all. Even in the slightest. And I don’t think Hook is Wesley because Wesley’s whole storyline is trying to get back to the woman he loves, which is much more Neal’s story than Hook who was honestly a pirate for a long time. I wouldn’t put much stock into it.

Thanks for the calming post RG. We are not going to survive the winter hiatus very well if things like that keep getting posted because you can literally interpret photos ANY way you want and screw with people’s heads. I think that’s going to happen a lot during that long break! 🙁

BTW-Totally random but can anyone explain to me why I keep getting taken back to the very first page of this thread after any post I make in here? None of the other threads do that to me and it’s starting to bug me. Thanks for the help! 🙂

It’s just that CS fans can be so creative/artistic in their images, plus the “As you wish line” from 3×5 just got me down for a moment….but you made a lot of good points, and I’m keeping the hope alive that these clothing decisions aren’t a clue about endgame…just ways to keep the CS fans happy until Emma chooses Neal.

The line from 305 felt off when we heard it. KFC made mention of this back when we saw the sneak peek, about how it didn’t fit in the moment as the kiss was presented not in a “omg I love you so much, let’s kiss!” sort of way but rather a challenge and combative way. Fans of the CS ship have been clamoring for that line ever since Colin said he takes HIS inspiration from Wesley. Doesn’t mean the writers follow. Look at how many people/things Bobby takes his inspiration from for Rumple. But A and E didn’t write that into the script. That was the actor.

All excellent points. I think Neal is amazing simply to have retained his sweetness of spirit, with a bit of a snarky sense of humor, despite the crapy hand the fate has felt him. 

I completely agree Slurpeez, well said.

It isn’t that Neal is a saint or has no flaws, for he does.  I do think we see the “naive” part of Bae in how he gets played by Tamara, August and Henry (when Henry ran to the well!).  Even his “Thanks man” when Hook volunteers to go along to Shadow Valley.  He had no idea Hook was interested in Emma until that moment in the cave.

He just wants to believe the best, but he’s had a lot of experience with the worst too, especially when it comes to his father.  I think we’re going to continue to see that it wasn’t just a “one time” lapse on Rumple’s part at the portal, but very parallel to Regina and Henry, that the way Rumple chose to love Bae, perhaps even pre-curse, wasn’t necessarily the way Bae needed to be loved.  That is a tough thing and a theme that repeats too in the story.  Neal right now is being patient and understanding, but perhaps what Emma needs is the more aggressive confidence of Hook.  Then again, maybe that rubs her the wrong way, because what she wants is space to focus and in her own time work through what she feels.  We all  assume what makes grown-up Emma Swan fall in love because we did not see it play out yet–even with Graham.   He affected her deeply but she was not given the time with him to explore whether any part of her still longed for Neal.  Plus I think what she felt for younger Neal is different than what she might come to see in Neal now.  These are new sides to him, just like Hook being helpful is new.  Love as Belle said is a mystery to be uncovered.  In time the writers will reveal what Emma wants and needs beyond Henry.  If it is not Neal, then I hope they have by that time revealed his path to happiness as well.

I’m not concerned by those pics, because I’ll bet Princess Buttercup would never be caught dead in those plaid pants that Emma’s wearing with the red jacket. 😛

Happens with any thread that’s over 100 pages. No way to stop it unless/until Daniel gets around to doing a fix for it.
