I love this GIF set. Which tumblr page does it come from?

ParticipantI agree completely about Neal’s self-awareness and it is interesting really to contrast it with Emma’s lack of that through the first few episodes and maybe you’re right that Neal is bringing out some good things in Emma that we will see more of in the next episode. I hope so!
While I agree that Emma allowed her attention to be diverted from saving Henry by kissing Hook, I think it was a one-time thing and spur-of-them moment. Emma even told Hook in 3×7 that it wasn’t the kiss that meant something to her, but rather, it was Hook telling them Neal is alive. *Ouch!* Think about what that means! Here Hook was trying to suss out the meaning of Emma kissing him and she tanks him for helping save Neal! The last thing a man who’s interested in a woman wants to hear is that woman thanking him for saving a man he considers a contender for her heart. Emma cares more about saving Neal than she really cared about kissing Hook.
Emma had been feeling devestated over the loss of Neal and Henry, and when she heard that Hook had saved David, Hook used that fact to his own advantage to solicit a kiss out of Emma. Her lapse in judgement was only momentary though, as she said to Snow it was just a kiss, and then when she heard Neal was alive, she immediately went after him, even though she was afraid of what it could mean because she’s scared to death of facing her own feelings for him all over again. It was easier for Emma to believe Neal could be dead than to face the reality that his being alive means because it means Emma having to do the hard thing of facing her past. Emma really loves Neal, she always has, and probably always will, but the thought of losing him again is what scares her to death. Yet, as Snow said, Emma owed it to herself to see if Neal were alive, because wise Mama Snow knows her daughter’s best chance of a happy ending starts by Emma having hope that Neal could be alive. Ergo, Snow White realizes Neal is Emma’s hope of happy ending. Snow recognizes that the pain Emma went through when she thought Neal was dead would be the same pain Snow would face if ever she were to lose David.
Is it an accident that Emma started to get her act back together once Neal was alive and present?
It’s no accident. Neal’s return signals a return of hope for Emma. He is going to help get them off that island and help get his family home. Neal telling Emma that Henry comes first and that he’s the best thing that came from them has spurred Emma on in her quest to get back her kid. Rather than being diversionary, as the CS kiss was, Emma and Neal teaming up to get back *their* son is going to mean everything to Emma. I actually appreciate the contrast we got in 3×7 between Hook sulking about Emma choosing Henry and Neal accepting and agreeing with Emma’s decision to put their kid’s best interests first. Only a loving father would really agree, without any hidden agenda of getting Emma, to save Henry for Henry’s sake, not just Emma’s. For the first time in a long time, Emma and Neal are on the same page and teaming up together to get back their son. *SF feels*

That’s how I read the scene as well. What mattered to Emma was that Hook helped get Neal back, when he could have let Neal rot in the Caves. And then the fact that Hook followed this up with, “I WILL win your heart” and his Jedi mind tricks and are supposed to be non tricks…yeah, Hook pretty killed all the progress he made with me at the start of this season.

All happy endings start with hope!

ParticipantAgree the contrast was pretty clear, between Hook and Neal. And there was a relieved small smile in Emma because not only did Neal agreed with her but had her back as always.
Hook was visibly upset that his little mind trick/game didn’t work on Emma and that him trying to push her into a choice only ended with her choosing her Son. I didn’t like his reaction and it pretty much destroy any small trace of CS as being a good romantic true love relationship. If Hooks thinks Henry be a foiled in his contest, well he would be upset with him. We saw how he was with Bae. I can’t see him being any different with Henry. Like Colin said, Old habits die hard.

ParticipantSo, I found this really funny Tumblr site which pretty much is a bunch of episode stills with hilarious, somewhat off-color captions, some of which are anti-CS. There are some profanities, so I daren’t post in the actual forum, nor do I condone outright slander, but most of the jokes are pretty satirical rather than outright slams.

ParticipantAlso, I read a really funny overview of S3 thus far, mostly from Regina’s POV:
Basically this whole season
Regina: We need to save Henry
Emma: Hmm this map though…
Snow: why does Regina need to be here?
Charming: *sassy to hook*
Hook: *sassy to charming*
Regina: You guys? Henry? We need to save him.
Emma: this star map nightlight though…
Snow: Regina is sooo annoying.
Charming: *oh god I’m dying*
Hook: Crap he’s dying. To the waterfall!
Regina: Henry is still missing.
Emma: hmm?
Snow: Neal’s Alive!!
Emma: Yay? Wait. Boo?
Hook: Wait, but I thought we were a thing??
Charming: Excuse me??
Hook: I uhh- Snow! Charming is cursed to stay in neverland forever and he wasn’t gonna tell you!
Snow: You what!?!
Emma: I love him, but I wanted him to dead, but he’s my true love, but…
Regina: Lord give me strength"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy
