YAY!!! I have OUAT on my TV! The weather guy finally stopped talking and I get to watch Once! Hope the rest of you are safe and able to watch tonight! Going off the board for a while so I don’t get spoiled by anything. 😉

#MoreBOOMLessGloomWell, there were not nearly enough SF moments for me in tonight’s episode but it was still pretty amazing overall. I loved when Neal ran to Emma after she hit the protection spell wall, when she ran up next to him to fight Rumple and he moved slightly to let her squeeze between him and David (we saw that in the sneak peak but I still loved it), the Neal-Wendy reunion was SOOOOOOOO sweet and I’m thrilled Emma was there to witness it (not enough reaction shots of her though but maybe those ended up on the cutting room floor), LOVE that Hook wasn’t part of the voyage to Skull Rock and it was all three of Henry’s parents there trying to save him, and holy crap, can we talk about how awesome Michael Raymond-James is again?! Neal was on fire tonight (no pun intended, LOL) and I loved watching him right alongside the others and not taking any crap from anyone. That last scene with him and Rumple before Rump went off to find Pan was awesome. Seriously, the awesomeness of MRJ is not nearly appreciate enough by ABC and that better change sometime soon!! 😀

#MoreBOOMLessGloomSo, 3×8 was actually a much needed break from the CSF storyline. We did have some nice moments though of Emma and Neal trying to save Henry. Here are some lovely thoughts:

But. I would just like to say this:
Henry’s heart cannot be taken willingly It is very possible that this is simply because he has the heart of the truest believer, but you WHY him: becuase of his parents. Henry would not be who he is without being the son of Emma and Neal. So maybe, just maybe, his heart is the heart of the truest believe BECAUSE he is also the product of true love. The most powerful magic in the world. Capable of breaking any curse (like say time running out or magic dying?)

Yes I did like that Neal told Rumple to stop making deals. And I love that he said “You’re going to do this because it’s the right thing to do.” Ugh many Nealfire feels tonight!!!! I’m sad that people are ripping Neal apart for not trusting Rumple. I’ll cut him some slack since hey everyone’s been screw over by Rumple at some point. Natural to feel defensive. I love that Nealfire believed in his dad at the end. A step closer towards healing!!!!!!! YAY~! Which means Nealfire can trust and understand his father and is a step closer to rectifying his own relationship with Emma.
I really wish the DarlingFire scene was better. I needed Emma to hear about Bae’s past with them and what he did.

True, there could’ve been more. I’m hopeful that maybe once they’re back on the ship and sailing home to SB, then there will be a moment’s pause for Wendy to tell Emma about how Bae tried to save her and her brothers. And there have to be more Neal/Wendy moments to come, for sure, because they have a lot of history to catch up on, which Emma could overhear. Â Otherwise, what was the point of introducing the Darling kids to the present-day NL storyline? While it’s great to see the Wendy/Neal reunion, I still think the main thrust of that reunion is to help shed light on what kind a person Neal really is – one who makes sacrifices.

Need to give a little ABC rant but honestly…Hook didn’t go anywhere near Henry to save him tonight and yet he was left out of the press release, while Neal (you know…Henry’s father!) wasn’t included at all.
*sigh*
This was still a very good episode and I’m glad it was the parents (all of them) who went after Henry. I really liked Neal going to see if Emma was ok after she was blasted back. And I couldn’t help but notice but when they were walking through the jungle in the beginning, before Snow and Emma had their talk, they were walking in teams of two: Hook and Tink in the front, Snowing, and then Emma and Neal side by side until she went to talk to Snow. (little things I know but…they count)
