Emma + Baelfire = Swanfire

So, those facts, taken with Adam’s tweet, should offer us enough assurance not to assume, as the CS fans are prone to do, that Emma and Hook must be a couple now. As for VanCity Filming saying the hug was “romantic,” he’s known to exaggerate and put his own spin on things. A hug can be reassuring without being romantic, and it doesn’t necessarily entail Emma and Hook are now a couple. Remember that SF hug in 3×6? Doesn’t mean Neal and Emma are back together. So, take everything with a grain of salt for now. It’s going to be a long winter, but we’re just going to have to develop thicker skin to survive the storm. I choose to believe Adam over paps any day.

I don’t find any of it unnerving. Like I said CS is playing out way to smoothly for it to be the overall intended love story for Emma or her true love. None of the characters had it easy with TRUE LOVE, none of them! They were always separated, Snowing, Rumbelle, Cinderella & Thomas, Dreamy& Nova, etc. If this was the final season I would be worried but we are only in Season 3. And CS might be what she needs to realize deep down she loves Neal always has, always will, even though she is pissed. (Because I see Hook as a possible escape plan, her running away from her feelings)

If Swanfire was not intended to be endgame, there would be no need for the love triangle in the first place. No need to declare their love for each other, no need for Neal to fight his way back to Emma and Henry from Enchanted Forest to Neverland. Neal could be happy with Tamara or Sadly Neal could have just died (shudders). He wakes up and says Emma she’s my, she’s my….I don’t know. (That was deliberate, because he wanted to say my girlfriend, my love) Keep in mind when he touched the crystal ball he thought of his love for Emma which the haze was true love purple (okay I might be pulling at straw with that one), there would be no need for Neal to say I’ll never stop fighting for you. No need at all. They would just have Emma and Neal resolve their issues in S2 to make way for CS.

You make many excellent points, Ranisha. I think there are plenty of unresolved SF issues to deal with:

• What exactly are Emma and Neal to each other? Just co-parents? Neal said if Henry is the only thing good that comes from them being together, then they did alright. Yet…something tells me that Henry is not all that will result from Emma and Neal’s love.
• The Swan necklace seems like it’ll come into play again. It’s been a central symbol since the pilot.
• Emma, Neal and Henry have all been featured in the season premieres (Emma in 1×1, Neal in 2×1 and Henry in 3×1). This is all their story about how family always finds each other.
• Also, the number 8:15 connects all of them together and is reoccurring to Emma, Henry and Neal.
• Henry was born in Phoenix, AZ, as as well all know the firebird is a symbol or rebirth. SF must die to be reborn, etc….
• The unanswered question of exactly who Emma is to Neal and his point blank stating that this is his second chance to get back Emma and Henry.
• Emma stating (three times since 2×21) that she loves Neal and probably always will.

These points are all important to the plot overall and to SF in particular. All things point to Emma and Neal eventually finding a way to face their past in order to work out their future together. I think this story is about Emma, Neal and Henry all getting their happy ending, together.

Indeed! Now that they’ve actually shown Emma stating how hard it would be for her to face the emotions of their relationship again, they surely must be planning on having her explore those emotions and come to terms with them. They’ve blatantly set it up to be a thing she’s gonna deal with in the future at some point, even she does end up taking an easy path detour with Hook for a bit first.

I read someone’s tweet to Adam saying that VCF said Captain Swan has been “officially confirmed as endgame”. I don’t know if it’s accurate or if he said that, but if he did, it explains the bias. (I’m on lunch break and don’t have time to check for myself but I sincerely apologize if he did not.)

Endgame is very very far off from now; it’s still safely tucked away in Adam’s brain, and ain’t nobody from the press finding it out, as far as “confirmation” goes.
The fact that someone is willing to outright say that when we know it’s impossible hows the information about the pic as bias.

Just checked. That is no where on VCF’s feed. And even if it were, how on earth would VCF know?
