ParticipantThat is adorable! It has some photoshop issues that only my OCD would notice but definitely adorable anyway. Thanks for the pretty things!
I hope we don’t have to stop talking about Neal’s physical features all together…then I couldn’t gush about his adorable smile or the crinkle in his eyes or how much I love this GIF of mischievous Neal… đ

KeymasterHis smile! đ
I can’t remember the exact line from that scene but, “it may take awhile, but you always find what you’re looking for.”

ParticipantHis smile!
I canât remember the exact line from that scene but, âit may take awhile, but you always find what youâre looking for.â “One thing I know about you is that you always find what you’re looking for” *cue Heather melting into a puddle* đ
I just watched that scene on You Tube the other day and that mischievous smile melts me every single time! đ
I also love the first part of that scene: Emma-“What’d you do, tranquilize him?!” Neal- “Nah, just gave him a few shots of bourbon…kid’s a real lightweight” đ

ParticipantI think it was something like “If there’s one thing I know about you, you always find what you’re looking for.”
The “may take awhile line” reminds me of Pan and Felix lol. Now I wonder what the story is there. There’s only 3 episodes left this “arc” and then it is Wildly Different…wonder what that means? I would think having scenes in real world NY, unleashing our fairy tale characters from SB would qualify. I’m not sure I’m on the “body swap” train but possible. It could be a way to allow otherwise “trapped” characters to go exploring. I think a new curse so there’s no line on memories makes more sense though.  It would be good after the angst to have something more light and fluffy for a bit, build up to Oz. Tonally something more in keeping with some of the S1 episodes and the Ariel episode.   .
Oh well 2 weeks to wait for much new to discover!

ParticipantHook may be written many ways with Henry when they meet.
I was reading some tumblr comments on that topic earlier today….
Hook left one of Henry’s mothers in a cell in FTL, then had a sword fight with her, trying to prevent her from getting back to Henry…
Hook left Henry’s other mother to be tortured by GOAT, and he was working (even if only temporarily) with GOAT, who are the people who kidnapped him…
Hook took away Henry’s dad’s mother, but more importantly, because Henry is currently experiencing what it is to be in Pan’s clutches, Hook handed Henry’s dad over to Pan when he was a kid.
I hope to God that these things aren’t just forgotten when it comes to Henry being shown around Hook, because not even from a shipping perspective, just purely from a “these are major plot points that would affect Henry emotionally” standpoint, they’re things we should see him have a reaction to. Hook has done some pretty horrible crap to all three of Henry’s parents, and also cooperated with the people who kidnapped Henry himself. If they show Henry as just being cool with Hook, ignoring that all of that stuff ever even happened, I’ll be seriously disappointed.

ParticipantYou will never convince me that Nealâs âBelieve in Second Chancesâ poster wasnât a real one. I donât care who says it or what they do with itâŠthat poster was never claimed to be created by anyone in the fandom and at one point, Adam did confirm it was real (which has always stuck with me). I think ABC chickened out on using it because they want their Hook angle and showing anything like that for Neal would disrupt their current marketing strategy. I really wish they would get their nose out of OUAT and let Adam & Eddie tell their stories without the marketing push for something they may or may not have planned this season.
AGREED!
The post is essentally arguing that: if we were use symbology⊠*ahem* something that happens on this show *ahem*
Davidâs Poison = Emmaâs endgame ship
Hookâs cure = temporary and immediate. Enough to last to #SaveHenry
Nealâs Cure/Solution = the forever fixer, guaranteed to keep âDavidâ safe and alive forever
No idea if it carries any weight but I found it interesting and least better than groaning over internet hoards and their rumor mills
If you click the link and check the post, it was actually written by a CSer, who ends the post with, “And I call myself a Captain Swan shipper⊠I should be ashamed of myself⊠(This did start with the thought, âAww⊠both sides of the triangle are contributing to her daddyâs cure,â and then quickly descended into, âUh ohâŠâ).” So it didn’t even start out being written from a SF biased viewpoint. Obviously I DO have a biased viewpoint, so it just sounds like a perfectly logical explanation to me, but the fact that it was written by someone who has the opposing ship view makes it an all the more interesting analysis to me.

I’m a sucker for a crinkly smile and MRJ has one of the best crinkly smiles ever! đ
Whilst on the subject of his face, here’s a cute thing I saw on tumblr today…
I feel like if Orlando Bloom and a puppy had a baby, itâd be Neal.

One of my fave little SF Family moments. More moments like this in the future, please!

KeymasterI’m really hoping we get some SF moments in 309! (I mean, where else would we get them if not an episode that is focused on saving their son?)

I know!! I hope that happens too but I’m afraid there’ll be so much action around those other things that they’ll forget all about the emotional part of it. đ
BTW-Can we talk a moment about how adorable MRJÂ looks in that hat from the Importance of Being Earnest reading they did the other week?! Holy cuteness. đ

ParticipantWhile it sounds cliche, part of the appeal of the show, at least for me, since the beginning has been its message about happy endings, hope and family finding each other. I think SwanFire has always been endgame since its conception when it was planned for Baelfire to be the father of Henry. Neal, Emma and Henry are all family, and as Henry said, his family always finds each other. I think there were always going to be obstacles for Neal and Emma to overcome, such as the dark curse, the hurt about Neal letting her go, the misconceptions about why Neal left, Neal’s fake fiancĂ©, and now the triangle of doom with Hook. Yet, I don’t think it quite matters exactly who else besides Neal is linked to Emma romantically, since it could’ve just as easily have been Graham, August, or Jefferson. The more important point is that Emma needs to face a series of emotional and supernatural hurdles before she can find hope to get her own happy ending, which we know, is the dream of Tallahassee with Neal and with Henry. I believe the writers will keep true to this vision, but it’s going to be a long journey of Emma learning to reevaluate her past in order to embrace hope to find forgiveness with her parents and with Neal for having given her up to become the Savior. I think Hook could just be a major distraction and an excuse for Emma to try and sweep her insecurities and fears under the rug rather than to face them head on. Only when Emma actually starts to deal with her issues will she move past them.
"Thatâs how you know youâve really got a home. When you leave it, thereâs this feeling that you canât shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy
