Hook completely dismisses Henry’s feelings because Emma acknowledged that they were “together”. Hook doesn’t give a crap about Henry, Hook’s only interest is Emma. Henry is only important insofar that he’s a way to Emma’s heart. Will got it right when he called Hook out on “using the son to get to the mother”.

Sorry, i will post something not OUAT related, or MRJ Related, but just have to post this, appears that many people loved the show, The Librarians, i mean.

The Librarians premiere delivered 5. million viewers and 1.6 million adults 18-49, which, pending final adjustments, should equal a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating.

    via press release:

7.3 Million Viewers Check Out TNT’s The Librarians

Fantasy-Adventure Series Scores Cable’s #1 New Series Launch for the Year-to-Date,

With 5.4 Million Viewers for Two-Hour Premiere

TNT’s new series The Librarians scored a huge launch Sunday night, drawing a combined audience of 7.3 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery for its two-hour premiere and encore. The fantasy-adventure series opened with 5.4 million viewers for its 8-10 p.m. premiere telecast, edging out TNT’s The Last Ship to become cable’s #1 new series launch for the year-to-date in Live + Same Day delivery.

The Librarians did especially well among key demos, with a total of 2.9 million adults 25-54 for the premiere and encore (2.1 million for the 8-10 p.m. premiere) and 2.3 million adults 18-49 (1.6 million for the premiere). The premiere telecast now ranks as cable’s #1 new series launch for the year-to-date in Live + Same Day delivery of adults 25-54 and one of the Top 3 new series launches with adults 18-49.

With its exceptional premiere performance, The Librarians is on track to join TNT’s Rizzoli & Isles, The Last Ship, Major Crimes, Murder in the First and Falling Skies in giving TNT six of basic cable’s Top 10 scripted series for the year-to-date, more than any other network. It is also well positioned to rank among the top scripted series of 2014 with key demos.

Based on TNT’s hit movie franchise, The Librarians centers on an ancient organization hidden beneath the Metropolitan Public Library dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around. Rebecca Romijn (X-Men), Christian Kane (TNT’s Leverage, Angel), Lindy Booth (Dawn of the Dead, The Philanthropist) and John Kim (Neighbors, The Pacific) star in the series as the newest protectors of the world’s mystical treasures, with Emmy® winner John Larroquette (Night Court, Deception) as their reluctant caretaker. Noah Wyle (Falling Skies, ER) recurs as Flynn Carsen, the role he played in TNT’s movie trilogy. Also reprising their roles from the movies are guest stars Bob Newhart (The Big Bang Theory, The Bob Newhart Show) and Jane Curtin (Kate & Allie, 3rd Rock from the Sun).

New episodes of The Librarians premiere on TNT Sundays at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). The series is produced by Electric Entertainment, with executive producers Dean Devlin, John Rogers, Marc Roskin and Noah Wyle.

    @POM

I agree basically with everything you said, but I honestly don’t think that is what the writers were going for. That’s the big problem. The writers don’t consciously recognize the way they write or edit their scenes. They don’t get that people are seriously confused about Rumple or that when Hook blatantly dismisses Henry like that, it’s troubling. They think the Rumple story line is clear and that Hook is being charming. So I agree, again, with your post, but I can almost fully guarantee that nothing–NOTHING–will come of it. Just like I knew that Henry would not mention Neal at all this episode, even thought this was the perfect set up going along with this “I never liked you!” line

    Sorry, more about The Librarians
With this, people cant say low ratings is bc of football, not when a cable show at the same hour makes more demo, than some network shows.

TNT’s “The Librarians,” based on the network’s successful “Librarian” movie franchise, opened to good numbers as a series Sunday night, becoming cable’s top-rated premiere of the year.

The 8-10 p.m. launch of “The Librarians” averaged a 1.3 rating in adults 18-49 and about 5.4 million viewers overall, according to Nielsen, a higher demo rating than some dramas airing Sunday on ABC and CBS.

TNT’s “The Last Ship” and FX’s “The Strain” had previously been the calendar year’s top basic cable premiere in 18-49 (both 1.2), but “Librarians” edged it out. It also has become the most-watched new cable series launch overall for the year, slightly more than “Last Ship” when it opened in June (5.33 million).

Add in an encore telecast, and Sunday’s premiere of “The Librarians” drew 7.3 million viewers, including about 2.3 million adults 18-49.

“The Librarians” centers on an ancient organization hidden beneath the Metropolitan Public Library dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around. Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth and John Kim star in the series as the newest protectors of the world’s mystical treasures, with John Larroquette as their reluctant caretaker. New episodes of “The Librarians” will air Sundays at 8 p.m. ET. The series is produced by Electric Entertainment, with executive producers Dean Devlin, John Rogers, Marc Roskin and Noah Wyle.

Agreed. I think the more reasonable answer is that without his heart, Hook gives even less of a *bleep* about what the kid has to say. Maybe with his heart in his chest, Hook may have actually given Henry’s statement some thought, but without it it meant less than nothing to him because he does take bathes v.v even with his heart, im sure Hook wouldn’t have cared still

I have very conflicting feelings about the last ep. Honestly, during maybe one of the most interesting curses you make everyone whose ‘true feelings’ we really wanna see, immune? Which basically was half the cast, and you put Belle to sleep? For like 2 whole seconds she was on screen and then Rumple LEFT her alone with Hook still in the shop? Hello! He could have killed her. Stolen heart or not. And for that matter ‘redeemed’ Hook or not.

Also they sorta went the comedy route with the curse which was not entirely what I expected. I was actually fine with it, since I did enjoy it, but they built it up to be this whole big terrible mean nasty horrible curse and then they didn’t deliver. Lana was superb though. From the promo pics I thought she was going to be too over the top, which she was but in a good way. The ending was anticlimactic, but basically their issues were so old and a little trivial (besides Henry’s) that the reaction to laugh it off felt appropriate.

The end of Ingrid was beautiful. Elizabeth Mitchell was amazing. I felt sympathy for her as I did not for Zelena. It was a touching sacrifice and one that reminded me of Rumple’s once upon a time ago. Though maybe they shouldn’t have phrased it as ‘death being her happy ending’ but I get that being with her sisters was. The wording just wasn’t quite right.

I was very disappointed with Will. Dude I was counting on you to clock that dirty pirate. Hook, of course did not surprise me at all with his juvenile remark about ‘together’ when the son of his gf just told him he didn’t like him. I don’t think the writers really get that it stopped being ‘charming’ a long while ago and that remarks like that only keep making him look like an inconsiderate part of the male anatomy.

Special shoutout to Lee Arenberg btw. ‘Don’t you sneeze on me!’ He always makes me laugh so hard.

PS. That was the shortest curse ever. It lasted what, 5 minutes?

Agreed. I think the more reasonable answer is that without his heart, Hook gives even less of a *bleep* about what the kid has to say.

Sadly this is exactly the reasoning every other character will use when/if? they find out about Hook’s bad deeds. Oh it was his heart, never mind that he did bad things all the time when he did have his heart (killing a man (who is magically not dead anymore as of an episode ago) within the last year). He was controlled, he couldn’t help it, oh but for convience sake he CAN feel love, cause that’s the way we want it, otherwise CS will suffer and we can’t have that.
