This movie is not Disney, only premieres next year, but fits so good in the 11 episodes arc and the minions even appear to be looking for rumple in out of town:

To be perfectly honest based on what I am hearing. (DISCLAIMER: I don’t watch I shadow watch so yeah my commenting is not to be taken as fact even though I state it that way)
Spoiler out for long post rant that may have spoiler in it or others who don’t care to read it because if its none positive or anti nature.
This isn’t A&E or the writers or the cast. This is pretty much Disney. Disney is promoting their movies and their franchise, plain and simple. The story isn’t the main focus anymore, nor telling a well thought orderly planned story that ties up the past, present and future so perfectly. It’s all about the marketing, franchising, and branding. And right about now we will watch certain movies come out of the vault and being released on dvd, etc etc. Disney is a business and business is good. I can’t fault them for that they know how to rake in the dough, corner the market. They know how to use every nook and cranny of the media to their usage.
I wish there could be some overall deep methodically reasoning behind any of this, but the truth is very simple. Disney wants to extend their branding and this show is the perfect medium for it.
So yes Hook is their golden boy, he is hot sexy bad boy pirate who get to change into prince charming for the beautiful magical princess who holds his infection oh gawd I was going for affection. LOL
Anyway right about now Hook is their guy, he is their marketing tool for this show. He is the cool guy that guys want to immolate- emulate (is my subconscious saying something) and that sexy bad boy with a soft heart that just needs love that women desire. After, all Pirates are better than Wizards. (Yeah we get it, Hook is better them Rumple). For some reason they are pulling Rumple and Regina (who are the fan favorites of the show) and putting them to the back seat for whatever reason. Although it seems to be that in order for Hook to be good, Rumple must now be bad, not just bad, and really bad and he dragging poor Hook with him. So I guess it’s pretty much yeah Hook is or was bad, but look Rumple is worse. See, see what he is doing.
Of course I may be off perhaps RC is interesting in taking a Dark turn since the lost of his son, even though it seems that his actions are not any way connected to that lost.
In the end, I guess we have to accept that is just a tv show. A tv show that drives us bonkers and crazy and sends us on our emotional roller coaster.
And I would be lying if I say I don’t miss the feel and thrill of season 1 and 2 with the show, story, and fandom.
I spoke with a friend and said maybe someday I will watch OUAT from start to finish, when I am no longer emotional attached, when the show is over the fandom has moved on and it’s just a rerun on TBS or Abc family. I will be more clear and level headed about and I can see things with a better perspective in retrospect which is far more curious than engaged or colored with anticipation or hope for anything but what it is, is what it is.
So in retrospect I do not think this is the way A&E wanted this story to go, and part of me is sympathetic to them. Because if your boss says do this or else, 9 out of 10 you will do this, or else. It’s not just their jobs on the line it’s the cast and crew and all the other bts people who help keep this show running. So in your interviews you will say what you suppose to say and how you are suppose to say it. You are going to promote your show and your future story. And talk about the golden boy and poster child. You would say what Disney wants you to say and that is the Queens of darkness, Mal, Ursula, Cruella and Hook.
I think at the end of the day I just need to take everything with the grain a salt. And accept this is not the show I feel in love with, that inspired me, and brought me hope and believe that nice guys/gals don’t finish last. Sometimes nice guys/gals and good guys/gals win in the end. That the bullies don’t get everything they want and then some, just because they want it and think they should have it. Nope its not that show. And it will never be. But at least I made awesome friends and met some awesome funny great wonderful people out of it, and no I’m not just talking about swanfire shippers either. 😛 !!"I will be kind but I will speak my mind."

So my birthday today started off with me nearly getting into a car accident (not my fault or the other person’s…we were both stuck behind an active school bus and then I went to turn left and they zoomed out around the bus and we nearly collided but no damage to anything but my nerves, LOL), nearly being late to work (yay for traffic easing up enough for me to get there on time), being stuck working a shift at the front receptionist desk because our regular one is off today, and then having all these people on the phone keep asking for “John” or “David” without giving me their last names (DUDE, we have a ton of Johns and Davids here…give me more information!). I am thankfully now back at my desk where I plan to hide for the rest of the day. 😉
