The only thing that went on behind the scenes was ABC’s interference and wanting to promote what they thought was the better money bringer–CS. MRJ didn’t fight it because he was sick of the subpar story they gave him because A and E were too caught up in shiny CS and love triangle silliness. Instead, MRJ demanded that they honor his contract and he worked for Disney/ABC for the remaining portion of his contract, including SoL and the Finest Hours

This, maybe this projects that last several months in a row, represent like one season, and also the fact that he was not able to do pilot seaosn last year, bc of secrecy

I’m going to rant about something that is bothering me. It’s about Hook and Belle’s new-found “friendship.” I feel like I’m one of the few who isn’t alright with the new Hook-Belle dynamic. I know they’re fictional characters, but it’s the message it sends which bothers me. While I’m glad to see Belle getting more screen-time, I’m not alright with her nonchalance attitude towards Hook. I know there may have been a real, sincere apology off-screen, but not seeing Hook apologize to Belle or thank her for saving his life made me less than comfortable about his chumminess with Belle and her acceptance of it. I get that Belle may feel like Hook is now trustworthy, given his alliance with Emma, and feel like Rumple got the best of both of them, but is she really comfortable enough around her former attacker to confide about her heartache? More to the point, I don’t understand the acceptance of this new friendship by people who love Belle, when we’ve never heard him offer any real remorse. Hook also omitted the fact that he tried to blackmail Rumple first, but it backfired. Instead, he said the crocodile tricked him. Is that what happened though? Rumple first warned Hook before Hook insisted on that deal with the “cursed” hand. I don’t condone Rumple’s treatment of Hook afterward, but Hook left out a key detail. I don’t think Hook has earned Belle’s trust.
