That last tweet from someone angry about “erasing” the past actions that Neal did to Emma annoys me
Same, but I did enjoy Sassy Adam sassy response.
People try to say see it from Emma’s perspective. Well her perspective is changing. She thought she knew him, charming drifter with a bad childhood just like her but then she realizes there are more sides to him.
Emma’s speech about Neal in 304 illustrates that. All this time she thought Neal didn’t love her, but now she realizes that he has loved her along but she thought it was “too late” because Neal was “dead.” Her interpretation is changing because she is slowly gathering all the facts. And now she’s getting to see Neal for who he really is: the charming drifter with a bad childhood AND Baelfire, the young hero who keeps sacrificing his happiness for others. I know we’ve talked about this a lot, but to me, probably the most significant SF moment of the season thus far, was Neal telling Rumple he’d heal Charming “because it was the right thing to do.” Direct contrast to what Hook did, and Emma knows it.
ove should bring out the best versions, and that is why Cora and Rumple, though they had sparks and much in common, were not a true love. Neal and Emma bring something out in each other that no one else does.
“You make me wanna go back. Back..to the best version of me. And that never happened before.” (sorry. I had to)
And think about what Hook brings out in Emma: I don’t think it’s the best version of herself. It’s the Emma that used to be; one night stands and little emotion. She kissed him and made no big deal about it. “It was just a kiss.”
Yet the thing is before that, Neal and Emma managed to get along. They brought out a kind of camaraderie, and concern that many people in such a bitter exes relationship could not manage, which is why I think they were not such bitter exes.
Even after the echo caves, she is sitting next to Neal listening to his plan to get out of NL and even says “ok, we’re on Shadow duty” meaning her and him. She has no problem still being with him. There is no awkward “oh hey about what we said…” stuff. They are perfectly comfortable with each other.

And as much as the original tweet made me mad, Adam’s sassy response made me chuckle because he totally put that irrational person in their place.

I hate that people don’t understand Neal. ugh We have been told before bad things would have happen if he didn’t let her go and that he never phoned the cops on Emma. I feel like we have been waiting FOREVER to see this played out on screen and now I’m scared that we never will!

Basically that what this person was accusing him of doing in the second half of the season wasn’t true and #nospoilers.

Did u saw the latest interview of adam and eddie? was just me or they hint for a very long triangle? oh,my god at least i hope they give us some SF moments, in no way she can decide between them, without a SF kiss, but a kiss like the cs.
I think that interview was poorly written first of all. I joked about goldenSwan but seriously Pan is Neal’s grandfather not Henry’s. It should have said great-grandfather. Anyway, I think it was written before that last episode came out. We already saw how Charming will be saved with plot convenient Gold potion unless there is more in store to it. Maybe if Gold does die then Charming might too ? I doubt Gold will really die permanently anymore than Henry who is temporarily mostly dead. It just might set up a situation that requires more adventuring–perhaps the same way Phillips soul was reclaimed might be needed for Charming, Henry or anyone else who might “die”.
I think their answer about timing implies that both men pursuing are wrong on timing but otherwise equal in Emma’s mind. I don’t know if that is what Emma thinks.

yeah Blue, I caught the interview, sighs, it would be a long triangle unless Hook moves on to something else. I can’t see Neal doing that, not again, he learned his lesson of trying to move past he true feelings, love, and heart.

When all is said and done, Charming’s “dreamshade” arc is going to be my least favorite of S3.1. Totally pointless.
Anyway
I can’t see Neal doing that, not again, he learned his lesson of trying to move past he true feelings, love, and heart.
MRJ once said on Twitter that Neal will never/has never loved anyone as much as he loves Emma. She’s it for him, so far as I’m concerned.
