I have hope that: – Neal COULD return. Whether it be permanently for the remainding episodes of the final season or even as a ghost. It could happen and I would never rule it out. – That Emma and Hook wont be TL or even stay together in the end. – That IF Neal does return, they COULD write he and Emma back together if they wanted. Especially if its the final season, when they wouldn’t care anymore. – That even if Emma and Neal aren’t together, he is a part of Rumpels happy ending and there is no way Rump will roll over and let him stay dead if he had the power to rewrite the story. – I have hope that Henry’s happy ending includes BOTH his parents. Whether they be romantically involved or not. I have hope for a lot of things. I can’t see the future and can’t say that these things will happen. But I cant say they wont happen either. As long as this show continues to air, there is always a small GLIMMER of hope that we should all have. Or maybe not *shrug*
Here’s the thing. You’re basically using the “will and way” scenario.
“If there is a will, there is a way.” That is a staple of TV. There is always a way to do something, especially when the show operates with magic like OUAT does.
BUT what you’re neglecting is the will. There is very little will in the writers (I’d say none at all) to do any of what you’re suggesting. Yes they COULD do all of that, but they don’t WANT to. A and E don’t take criticism, and I don’t think they actually critique themselves or their show. They think everything is 100% A-Ok and why go and change a thing if you think it’s 100% A-OK.
And no, so long as this show is airing it continues to reinforce the ideas I just said: there is always a way, but no WILL. They literally just showed how to bring someone back from “dead” with remains and some blood. Rumple knew this spell all along, apparently. But didn’t use it on Bae. Why? Because the writers have no will. Nor are they likely to before 5B and we go off air forever. And this is not the first time. They had a perfect setup by having Emma and Hook go into the past, but what happened instead? Emma told Rumple to keep Bae dead and all mentions of Milah were erased and forgotten and danced around. They chose to ignore all these opportunities in FAVOR OF putting CS together because that’s their story now.
You may think there is a glimmer of hope but with each passing episode it should get smaller and smaller in your eyes, not bigger and more pronounced because they keep having perfect opportunities and passing them by because there is *no will*

However this is the thing with me, from me, and only me. I rather have MRJ on Game of Silence then OUAT anyday. I think Game of Silence is wonderful opportunity for him. So if I had to choose between Ouat and Game of Silence, I am choosing Game of Silence. If I had to choose between any show and Ouat for MRJ I will choose that show over Ouat. But because GOS is the greatest possibility I list my reasons why I want that one.
GOS: MRJ is a main character, you know how you had the trio of Emma, Regina, and Rumple for OUAT. Well with Gos its David, MRJ, and Breblair. So this is a big role for MRJ bigger then what OUAT will ever give him.
GOS: A Deep Powerful and Dramatic story free of magic curses And Loopholes
GOS: Potential for a newer purer Fandom
GOS: based off a critically acclaimed Suskunlar from Turkey and one reviewer already said that they get Emmy vibes form it.
GOS: filmed in Atlanta only 8 hours away for me, Hot Lantat here I come .
Now at the end of day I would respect any decision that MRJ makes about his life and his career. As long as he is happy I am happy for him.
I guess I just have accepted the fact that CS has happen and Neal has died for it.
It sucks but I take comfort and joy that MRJ is off to bigger and better things with Sons of Liberty, Finest, and hopefully GOS! MRJ is apart of some great stories and that is AWESOME!!!!

I also hope we get a Neverland spinoff covering Baelfire’s time in Neverland but that might just be wishful thinking.

Dylan is far too old since Bae was supposed to land in NL when he was 14–and he’s only getting older. Also, with WL ratings and the way the ratings are on ONCE right now, it wouldn’t be worth the money ABC would have to shill out for another spinoff.

Point 1: why would you want Neal to return as ghost? they already said that they dont bring actors just for one scene, reason why Emilie didnt appeared on one of the epis of Part A, and she is regular, so why would they bring him as ghost, unless they would say he knew the book writer and they have to do what they did last year with cora, but since that epi had low ratings , they wont go that way, also that would mean acknowledge Neal/Bae in the show, so since they are trying to erase him, i dont see it. Ok, maybe if Rumple really died this season, i could see if RC asked MRJ to appear in a afterlife scene, although that probably would have to be filmed in LA, bc by 422 time MRJ will be filming the pilot.
Point 2: flashbacks with emma, also dont see it since they have one actress to play Emma, so they will not use Jmo to play young Emma again, especially with the confusion of Neal haters that say that he raped emma, bc she was underage, although several interviews stated that she was 18, but since the writers besides writing also dont know math, the age they gave Henry doesnt match.
Point 3: If there is a spin off will be of Frozen and only in some years, bc all actors are already in some other projects.
Point 4: actually Dylan made 16 years last week and jared will make 15 in may or june, guess that is another problem , the actors are getting to old.
Point 5: Again to bring Dylan as young Bae, they needed to acknowledge Neal/Bae in the show, thing they arent doing, since everyone acts like he never exists, but again, if Young Bae was to return, would be a la pinochio, no memories and like with him they would not say who is Hnery and Emma to him, bc that would be traumatic, already imagine the scene:
“Rumple: Bae, do you see that boy that has your age?”
Bae: yes, Papa, what is the problem?”
“Rumple: well you see you had “jelly dougnuts” with that woman over there, her name is Emma and the boy is in fact your son, oh and by the way, the woman boyfriend is your ex step father , that run away with your mother”

Rumple: you dont have to son, this family tree is very complicated, u just have to know that in case you want to go out, you can take your son and who knows maybe you both end finding some nice girls and in the future you may even do a double wedding.

Here’s the thing. Do we really want MRJ back, even if it’s just for one episode as a ghost? Is that something you’d really want to see? To see him, to be reminded that he’s dead and gone forever and then have him vanish again? Why would you want to see that? I barely made it through his two appearances in 319 and 322. Having him show up, probably to give his blessing or something equally stupid to CS, and then have him leave again…would kill me. So why would you want that?

Which would give other characters such as Emma, Henry, and Rumpel a final chance to talk to him? Yah. Yes I would. As opposed to NEVER seeing or hearing from him or about him ever again? Yeah, I could dig it. I too am happy MRJ has moved on to better things where he can be fully appreciated, and that’s great, but if for one last moment, we could have him back, I would be all for it. It’s just my opinion.
The sad reality is that, yes, we may never see Neal again and CS might be endgame now. That they may even share TL kiss at the end of this season. So what, I could not care less for them. Neal goes beyond kissy kissy face with Emma. If for one last episode, for one scene, we could have him for some….closure, I think a lot of us would appreciate it. Assuming its relevant and well written which is a whole other thing. Just my opinion. I wouldn’t mind seeing him again is all. Yeah, he may be busy and all that but you never know. It is completely and utterly in the realm of possibility.

And that’s EXACTLY what the writers think they gave you with his final scene in 322. Neal got Emma home once more…case closed. And they had Neal prattle something about how Henry didn’t need to see him ever again. They’ve solved that conundrum . They think they gave you closure with Emma too when he gave her the necklace and told her to go find Tallahassee with someone else. They think they gave you closure with Rumple when he held his son’s hand as he died.
They don’t care that you don’t consider closure. These are the same writers who said that Neal dying was his happy ending!
There is no closure to be had because 1) they think they gave it to you and 2) there is no such thing as closure in reality. You’ll always want more. You’ll always want one more appearance. You’ll always wonder what Neal would do or say or think. You’ll always think, “hey Neal could show up now as a ghost and impart his Ghost Wisdom! Wouldn’t that be neat?” But then he’s gone once more and all you can think is, “well, he’ll be back again.”
It’s a terrible cycle with TV viewers and getting what they want only to realize that it wasn’t cracked up to what they thought it would be.
