no. He was contracted to come back if ABC called. He was working for them–SoL and Finest Hours were both ABC/Disney. If ABC wanted him, they’d get him back.

Bringing back Bae not being the quest of Rumple re-writing his own happy ending is absolutely the most absurd thing I’ve ever read about this show. We know Bae is no longer with us, but that’s not the point. The point is that Rumple is seeking to do the impossible and give the villains their happy endings, and Rumple’s happy ending was Bae.Now for obvious reasons I know this isn’t possible for practical reasons like ABC won’t stand for it and MRJ isn’t available. But I wish A&E wouldn’t continue to pretend like there is some story-driven reason why Rumple couldn’t do the seemingly impossible and bring back his boy if he wanted. Forget blood magic and resurrection for a moment. We’re talking about Rumple’s quest of re-writing the entire story here so that he gets his happy ending. Who did Rumple declare to be his happy ending? Baelfire.
Rumple’s quest seems to be to ensure he gets his own happy ending, and they’re asking me to believe that Rumple wouldn’t do his utmost to secure Bae’s return (at whatever age I might add). They’re telling me to believe Rumple wouldn’t move heaven and earth to get his boy back if he could rewrite his story. Sorry. Not buying it. Not buying it one bit.

Millie I’m not saying that is impossible that MRJ move forward with his career because in actually he did.
In all honesty Neal is not alive because the writers don’t want him to be. I know we all say that CS can happen and Neal could be happy with just Rumple and Henry. But the truth of the matter is the GA and the fandom will always expect that eventually Neal and Emma would be together in the end, that CS will run its course that Emma and Neal friendship will turn romantic because the love never stopped for either one of them. That is the truth, that is the total of sum of things. That is why some write metas, search articles, pick a part scene, talk in circles, and tip toe around issues to try to convince that things are going this way because that’s way they were always plan. When clearly it is not. They know it, we know it. Because no matter how much of a song and dance you try to generate if Neal was alive by the end of the show he would be with Emma and Emma would be with Him and they will have Henry and be a family with Regina. Everyone knows that, that is why its still debated so strongly and vehemently on tumblr and twitter. Why there is the deepest desire to declare that CS is true love. So it makes the truth of things feel less factual. And CS will pretty much get true love because that is where the story is going now; CS drenched in heavily subtext of SQ.
Anyway that is just my two cents that are not worth a quarter.
With that all said, I am very excited for MRJ in his new project. This makes me happy new show, new story, new cast, new characters, new fandom!!! Very much excited.
Also showed my sisters a bit of the Turkish version and they now want to see the American version of this show. 🙂
