Participanto, the big deal about this storyline is that Rumple wants to turn Emma dark, right? And in this scene, it seems like the cracks are starting to show and her potential for dark thoughts are being vocalised, especially in the enthusiastic way she says “shove” when talking about stabbing Rumple to death. So her potential for darkness is starting to seep out…in a moment when she’s empathising with Hook. She’s starting to think like the guy who she keeps blindly insisting isn’t bad any more, when even the guy himself can see that he’s not an angel. Now, I’m not convinced that the writers even realise how they’re writing this stuff, so I’m not convinced that it’ll be followed through in a way that makes sense…but I’m just sayin’.
i saw a gif about it and i thought, what if the way emma is to get darker is to become the newx dark one? i think that S5 is the last, what it rumple does die this season, bc emma kills him and then S5 is dark emma and here is the part many will not want, be save by hook with TLK, bc no way after last night they will break them, so if is needed a TLK to break a curse, maybe they will use this.

ParticipantSnow – Anything from Hook? Think he’s managed to turn Ursula yet?
Charming – If she doesn’t turn him.
Emma – Really, we’re thinking that now?
Charming – Well he kinda went to a dark place this morning.
Emma – Do you blame him? If Gold did to me what he did to Hook, I’d wanna shove that dagger through his heart, too.
Snow – Emma, that’s not you, you’re not –
Emma – It’s also not Hook. Relax, I’m just saying I understand where he was coming from. So, the big deal about this storyline is that Rumple wants to turn Emma dark, right? Yeah, I picked up on that, too. Hook isn’t a good influence on Emma, and doesn’t bring out her best. If anything Emma dating a villain like Hook isn’t exactly a good thing, now is it? Someone with the potential for darkness really ought not to be dating someone like Hook with a strong proclivity for darkness. Back in 4a, Emma was blowing off her sheriff duties because she was on a date with Hook. The next day, she acted completely unprofessionally towards Will, holding him on a trumped up change of “crashing her date” and giving him a half-eaten pop-tart. I’m not saying those things are inherently or fully “bad,” but they’re questionable. Now she’s letting Regina kidnap Pinocchio, blindly excusing Hook lying to her face, saying his sketchy past doesn’t matter because “he’s not a villain anymore” and now justifying Hook’s inclination towards revenge and hate.
Also, I’m just going to throw this out there. Hook saying he’d like to plunge the dark one’s dagger into Rumple’s heart sounded very ominous to me. It also signified to me that Ursula was right that Hook is still a selfish pirate, and that he’s still bent on revenge against the dark one. He pulled a gun on Ursula, who was unarmed. That is not something a reformed person does. Hook also called himself a pirate in the present day, and he has his pirate ship back. Plus, Hook called himself a villain and admitted he’s afraid of losing his own happy ending as a result. Sounds very ominous to me. #JustSaying #WishfulThinkigIKnow

Oh I wouldn’t be surprised if we get that by the end of THIS season, nevermind S5. And nevermind the fact that she had zero to say to him after he declared her to be his happy ending, and she looked miserable when he said it, nope, that was the look of TL, folks, and we’ll soon have it confirmed. And I’ll need lots of alcohol on hand when that ep comes around.

ParticipantLily Sparks’ review for 4×15 is up. Snark away.
Highlights:
“And then we learned that we can now add “tentacle penetration” to the growing list of things that open a portal.”
Ursula retrieved his boat, it was tiny and in a glass bottle. I don’t remember how this happened, but of course it was quickly reversed. And then Hook gave the voice shell back to Ursula, or tried to, but it didn’t take, so he pulled a longarm on her. Yes, Hook pulled a gun on a woman who’d never hurt him. He’s pretty gallant, that Hook. Ursula threw him overboard and I was like, “Finally. I knew I liked you, Ursula.”
And
Meanwhile Rumple returned with some Fairy BS that sort of returned August to Wooden Man status, but then he was back to normal but then also his nose grew whenever he told lies? To be clear, I loved this part. I can’t remember the last time I laughed this hard while feeling so unsettled. That was a very sexually aggressive nose; I think Freud would agree. I mean, I know I used this image above but honestly I cannot get over it. Look how happy Robert Carlyle is!

AndAnd I had to contemplate once again: HOW CRAZY EASY IS IT TO CROSS WORLDS WITH MERMAIDS?! Why in the NAME OF HE!! did Rumple have to wait for a woman with exactly the right temperament and talent… then slowly train and corrupt her… and then manipulate her into casting a curse to cross over to Earth to get to Baelfire… when he could’ve accomplished the exact same thing by befriending a mermaid? I beg of you, do not spend precious energy considering that question. You could be learning Latin root nouns in those precious, finite seconds instead.
And
“I’m just the messenger,” Ursula sighed heavily. “Look at my plotline as an example and ask yourself: Are you really expecting some Tolstoy to unfold at this point? Are you expecting to be bowled away by some intricate explanation of a larger arc that ties together the last four seasons, the most recent half of which was based on a movie that didn’t come out until this show was halfway through its run? Yeah, manage your expectations. We’re all here for these awesome actors, the insane Disney references, and the shipping fandoms. TTYL.”

I said season 5 in order to create drama if there is a new dark one, bc im sorry, but they bring jafar for next season is simply like, this arc on part B, he is not enough to bring viewers, and they know it from wonderland experience, also i think, and this is with the eyes of someone that doesnt see, so i have a clear view of the show, i really think that 421/422 will end where they are now, with no resolution about happy endings, so if emma is the new dark one on S5, that would mean that the happy endings can only come with the end of her curse on the series finale on S5.

ParticipantIs it sad that the greatest enjoyment we get is Shatner live-tweeting the show, a celeb who has never worked or been on the actual show?
Omg, Lily Spark’s review is fantastic. I adore snark and sarcasm.
So we know that Ursula comes back again so she’s not totally gone. But really her story is. I think that Lily is right on the money and Ursula will show up with the squid ink to bring down Rumple. Yipeeeee.
If I ever met Robert Carlyle I’d just like to say “I’m so sorry”. Really, the first words I’d say to him with a pitying look. That he has to act out these lines is a travesty. I’d also want to hug him but that might buy me a restraining order so I’d keep my hands off. 😛
