I’d say happy Monday but…
I miss you Neal Cassidy. You were the heart of this show and with your death, I lost so much more than my favorite character and ‘ship. I lost the love I had for a show that had taken over my life.
You deserved better.

ParticipantI am seriously questioning the healthiness of CS’s relationship within the show even beyond the usual stuff.
Hook getting jealous over Emma’s friendship with August is a bit of a red flag in my opinion. Emma shouldn’t have to justify herself to Hook over August. The fact that she feels she does implies that Hook doesn’t really trust her to be friends with a guy without something else going on. Then towards the end, it felt like Hook was giving his blessing/permission for Emma to be friends with August. Emma doesn’t need Hook’s consent to do anything least of all who she can/can’t be friends with. That just seemed a bit too controlling on Hook’s part for my liking.

You mean like on 315 Emma having to ask permission to hook to talk with Neal at the hospital.

If I had faith in the writers actually having the balls to do such a thing, I would say that they have been cleverly crafting a story of an abusive relationship involving CS to show that anyone, even someone “strong” like Emma, could find themselves in an emotionally abusive relationship. Those little “moments” we have seen of Hook shows a controlling side that Emma might not be aware of yet. Another example, where Hook gave Neal “permission” in 3A to have a go with Emma (with the implication that Neal would fail and Hook would swoop in to pick up the pieces), where Hook tried it on with Tinkerbell trying to make Emma jealous etc.
All magic comes with a price!
