Henry’s official S3 poster came out tonight

No one will ever convince Neal’s poster wasn’t official after this. The three ones that circulated were Belle, Neal and Henry. Belle and Henry’s have been confirmed as official.

I totally agreed, when Neal was back she was on her A game again! Especially when she got to say what she needed to say to him in the echo cave again and he not reject it or angry at her, he accepted what she had to say. To me, she didn’t seem like that lost little girl or that orphan, she was a mother on a mission, save her baby. So yes to me, she seemed whole again with Neal around.

Oh, I’m convinced the poster for Neal is authentic and so is the byline “Believe in Second Chances.” Tonight we saw Neal get a second chance with his dad when he said Rumple came back for him. *Tearing up* The most obvious Swanfire parallel was Neal reconciling with his papa by hugging and forgiving him, which in turn, inspired Emma to turn around and hug her parents. A key step in the hero’s journey is making peace with the father/mother and both Neal and Emma managed to do just this tonight. Emma and Neal are the best versions of themselves around each other, and I firmly believe that Neal being there helps Emma to hold onto hope. Neal made sure his father would help David at no cost to Emma or her family because it’s the right thing to do, and so Neal freeing his father was like lighting a beacon of hope that Emma’s father would be saved too. So many parallels

Henry’s heart could be ripped out though?! So does this suggest he isn’t the product of true love.

Not all true-love babies are the same. For example, both David’s and Snow White’s parents had true love, yet we’ve seen Regina rip out Snow White’s heart in S2. In Emma’s case, she’s not just the product of true love but she’s also true love incarnate, which means she’s magical and why her heart is protected. Each child of true love is unique. In Henry’s case, he is born of light and dark magic, and was raised in a cursed town, which means he has the heart of the truest believer. Yet, just because he can freely take out his own heart doesn’t mean he’s not born of true love, just as Snow White having her heart removed by Regina in S2 doesn’t mean she’s not the product of true love. Snow White and Henry are similar in the sense that both are the product of true love, but as far as we know, Henry is only magical in Neverland where belief fuels magic, but neither he nor Snow would be deemed “magical” like Emma would be.

So… they just set a precedent for body switching……. thought that crack theory w/ Hook and Neal was funny but now, not so far fetched…

 

As far as Henry’s heart goes, no one ripped it out to begin with. He alone ripped it out. I think if you’re willing to do it yourself, it’s gonna happen. I don’t think the spell means anything. I feel like he didn’t tell her he ripped it out himself because of… well, it’s kind of weird to tell your mom that. But if he did tell her, I think things would have gone differently. She would have explained how it works perhaps.

Alright this was a much better Rumple and Son episode than SwanFire and as they are my two favorite characters, I’ll take it. But…*sigh* yeah. Someone. Anyone. Talk to me about the positives.

Did you not see the look on Emma’s face when Neal reunited with Rumple? Neal has forgiven his father for abandoning him and said he came back for him. Emma will learn to forgive Neal for leaving her (if she hasn’t already done so) and we’ve seen Neal come back for her a few times now (e.g. in 2×14 when Neal returned to his apartment to protect Emma from his dad and in 3×3 he returned to NL for Emma and Henry because they’re his second chance). Neal getting a second chance with his dad and hugging him brought a huge smile to Emma’s face, (a smile that has been missing for all of S3). Also, Emma witnessing Neal hugging Rumple made her in turn hug her own parents. Both Emma and Neal, who were both de facto orphans who felt abandoned, both of them found their parents again! Emma and Neal are finally reunited with their families. If that isn’t hope for the Swanfire family, I don’t know what else is!

Also Emma talked to Neal about being a Lost boy, because she was a Lost girl. Can a Lost girl find her way home. I still think they A &E are subtle tying them together as their histories are so close and intertwine.

I think the problem for me tonight was that when Hook and Emma interacted it was very CS heavy (another as you wish–we’re never gonna hear the end of that one) followed by Henry’s heart almost being taken but when Emma and Neal interacted it was very “Henry only!!” I would have liked to have Emma and Neal hug or hold hands when Henry came back. But I need to lower my expectations, I know.
