I love Neal and Rumple. I *get* them because a lot of what they feel or have gone through I feel and have gone through. And this moment. What I wouldn’t give to have some sort of heartfelt reunion heart to heart with my own father even after all the crap….
That hug was everything I wanted for so long!
And then to have it be followed by Charming family hugs.
And then Neal telling Henry that he’ll never leave him. And then that was followed by DaddyCharming and Emma. Oh the heart…it breaks.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"Well, I didn’t cry during the actual episode tonight but you guys got me crying with all the GIF sets and wonderful comments! I noticed that Emma was watching Neal and Rumple talk right away and I loved that look on her face. She knows Neal and she knew how much that moment with his dad meant to him and to see her be so touched and happy in that moment and then for her to go hug her own parents, it was such a beautiful sequence of events that it just gave me all kinds of warm fuzzies. I was also happy with the Neal and Henry bonding scene at first and then right after that we found out that Pan and Henry had switched bodies and now I’m annoyed that they didn’t make that bonding scene happen before the switcharoo. It means nothing to me now because it wasn’t really Henry that Neal was talking to and for that I am a little peeved at the writers. Poor Neal didn’t even get a real chance to bond with his own son after everything. 🙁
LOVE the tumblr post about Emma & Neal that was posted a while back. Someone had retweeted the link earlier today so I’d read it all ready but it was great reading it again. That person is right on target and I hope that’s what the writers are doing because it makes the most sense and if they do it right, how can you not enjoy seeing a real life fairytale come to life for two brand new characters like Emma & Neal?! 🙂 (I still want a Neal hug…he was doling them out to a bunch of people tonight so where’s mine?! LOL)
BTW-When Hook made his “As you wish M’lady” comment, I may or may not have yelled “Oh shut up” at my television set…..talk about ruining a moment. #sorrynotsorry 😉
#MoreBOOMLessGloomHello fellow Swanfirers! It’s been a few days since I read through the thread. I’m sure I missed a lot but going by what Slurpeez just said about Neal and Rumple’s reunion followed by the Charming’s family hug, it gave me so many warm and fuzzy feelings in tonight’s episode!!!!
Yep, I did notice Emma’s reaction to Nealfire and Rumple’s reconciliation. I interpret as a glimmer of hope that things will be right between them as well. How can it not? They relate so well to each other. Emma called Neal a lost boy when she too was a lost girl. The parallels are astonishing when it comes to these two!!! UGH It was that scene alone that made up the episode for me. I didn’t really see Emma and Hook’s interaction as very meaningful. They’re comrade in arms. But with Emma and Neal I felt that there’s some trust that is still there between them. Emma trusts Neal to bring Henry to the Jolly Roger and keep him safe and Neal trusts Emma to bring back Henry’s heart.
BTW-When Hook made his “As you wish M’lady” comment, I may or may not have yelled “Oh shut up” at my television set…..talk about ruining a moment. #sorrynotsorry 😉

HAHA! I haven’t reacted that way during this entire season so far but for some reason, it affected me very negatively tonight. It felt so out of place with all the emotional stuff and I’m glad it wasn’t just me who reacted badly to that moment! 😆

Well the first time it was said we all said it felt out of place as well because the kiss was supposed to be a challenge and not a declaration of love. So I agree. It felt out of place yet again. Like “um…could you just steer the stupid ship and not be yourself for a moment, kthax”
