KeymasterIt would be interesting to compare the writers for each seasons. Wasn’t there a bit of a change between 2 and 3?
There were a few changes (maybe one person leaving) after S2. But there were quite a few changes after S3
Now it’s just sad to watch Season one and think of what might have been.
And then there’s me and I can’t watch S1 at all without becoming increasingly angry

How The Writer Who Quit Quitted:
Adam & Eddy: We want to hook Killian up with Emma in S3.
Writer: But what about Neal?
Adam & Eddy: We want to hook Killian up with Emma in S3. It’s best for storywise and business.
Writer: But Neal was Emma’s first love…her true love…he’s Henry’s father! How can you….
Adam & Eddy: We like Hook more, now he’s going to be Emma’s true love. People won’t care!
Writer: Yes they will, and it doesn’t even make….
Adam & Eddy: Just go with it.
Writer: You know what…screw that, I’m out!

ParticipantWhat’s funny is how much the writers either consciously or unconsciously recycled elements from Season 2, and Neal’s storyline.
Exactly. Lily is the new Neal. Except she’s not.
Goes without saying really that there are also huge differences, which is why I’m not saying “parallels” and implying some sort of intentional foreshadowing or anything like that but just calling it recycled plot points and mechanics.
The show has become practicably bad. There just is hardly any foreshadowing except for Lily’s star mark, but only because Lily is the new Neal. Sure, we may have some hints about what’s in store (e.g. Emma won a toy dalmatian just a few episodes before Cruella first appeared), but it’s pretty clear the writers are just making this stuff up as they go. All of the intricately pre-planned foreshadowing was done away with when the writers hit that blasted re-set button.

Participanthappy Thursday
Belle has no storyline outside of her two male romantic partners. She’s not even allowed to interact in any meaningful way with her father, let alone with another female except when Belle is supposed to be “Google” or when her life is threatened.
About this, the other day i was tempted to write something on the is the end for RB thread , but didnt, so i will write here.
About Rumbelle people tend to forget something, maybe bc is from S1, Rumbelle was never meant to happen, bc Belle was supposed to die, they said it on that time, since around those dates Emilie had a Tv show pilot that ended not being pick, they said that in case Emilie was not available, they would have separate beauty and the beast, they also said that since in online fandom, (again, bc they dont have knowledge of what GA thinks, unless in ratings drop or gain) liked her so much and she was available they decided to bring back Belle, so there it is, now they have a character that is there bc pure fan service, and they dont know what to do with her .
Have to say somthing else, the other day i saw something online, in tumblr that made me think, about how the writers appear to hate Neal( bc even on death he is screw), Rumple and Belle, not sure i 100% agree with that, maybe i do a little, but goes to something i want to say:
Remenber when 317 came and those words About killing a man for his ship were said and many said was a hint from the writers that Neal indeed died for CS to happen? What if in a recent epi they sent that message again?
U are wondering what im talking about, so Robin scene with Rumple at the hospital, imagine Rumple being Adam and Eddie and imagine Robin being the viewers, what exactly u have?
U have the writers saying that they had to send the good ideas to the trash, that they dont want remenber Neal, bc that name reminds them of a time they had a great idea for the show that they simply had to let go, that Neal Cassidy/baelfire is for them, the writers a character that screams that they fail not just the character, themselves and MRJ as well, so they dont want to remenber him.
Now i go bc im excusing the writers so that means something is wrong .

ParticipantAnd Adam and Eddy are trying to show us Emma becoming dark when everything she has done was completely human! Cruella threatened her son, the jack(beep) last episode insulted one of her only friends, and Lily all but threatened the Charmings to Emma’s face.
So she is female Rumple, bc Rumple also became dark one bc of his child, and did everything he did for a chance to protect him, the only person he cared at least on the 1st centuries. In that way Rumple knew that like he did it with Bae, Emma would also do everything to same henry, even kill, so in his idea she would become dark as him.

ParticipantThe writers are committing character assassination of the Charmings and everything that makes them likeable: their goodness and family love! Good thing Neal died before they could totally ruin him.
That u think, with this show and writers, and level of fan service, they can still ruin Neal even with him death, but then again, that would mean that they need to mention him, and they wont do that.Although, erase him from the show, is another way to ruin the character, saying he was not important to anyone, i guess abandoned in life and in death, this so screams hope and family show, if your life is a hell in life will all be a hell in death, bc no one will care that u died. UGH!!!

Funny think one of the writers that left was Christine that was the writer that wrote Swanfire part on 206, and then one year after wrote that crap epi 305, and swanfirequeen family on 309, and after didnt wrote anything else. Another writer that left was someone connected to Hook epis, that siad even on S2 i think DVd comments that they warn disney that their version of Hook would be of sexual predator, and was also one of the writers that wrote the line, you let one man die for your ship. So who knows maybe in the end some of the writers simply abandoned the show, bc they didnt believe on what they were writing anymore, Christine, in fact didnt wrote anything on S3B( sidenote: She is besides A&E the only writer that MRJ follows and she follows him back on twiter i mean).

KeymasterApparently I hate myself today or something. Normally I don’t listen to a lot of music when working but this morning, for some inexplicable reason, I put on Snow Patrol (a band I haven’t listened to in *years*) and the song “New York” came on. So there’s this lyric that caused some pretty heft emotions
If our hearts are never broken and there’s no joy in the mending
There’s so much this hurt can teach us both
There’s distance and there’s silence, your words have never left me
They’re the prayer that I say every dayUgh. Of course the song is called NEW YORK too.
I’ll be over here. Wallowing. Missing a show that I’m still watching.
