Was reading about psychology and saw this article:

    Traits of a Psychopath

Psychology researchers generally believe that psychopaths tends to be born — that it’s a genetic predisposition — while sociopaths tend to be made by their environment. Psychopathy might be related to physiological brain differences. Research has shown psychopaths have underdeveloped components of the brain commonly thought to be responsible for emotion regulation and impulse control.

Psychopaths, in general, have a hard time forming real emotional attachments with others. Instead, they form artificial, shallow relationships designed to be manipulated in a way that most benefits the psychopath. People are seen as pawns to be used to forward the psychopath’s goals. Psychopaths rarely feel guilt regarding any of their behaviors, no matter how much they hurt others.

But psychopaths can often be seen by others as being charming and trustworthy, holding steady, normal jobs. Some even have families and seemingly-loving relationships with a partner. While they tend to be well-educated, they may also have learned a great deal on their own.

When a psychopath engages in criminal behavior, they tend to do so in a way that minimizes risk to themselves. They will carefully plan criminal activity to ensure they don’t get caught, having contingency plans in place for every possibility.

Who is the OUAT character that has this traits? You only have one shot and is not Rumple, i would say Rumple fits on sociopath traits and are almost the same as the phychopath but with some diferences.

    So apparently this never happened:

Apparently, Hook taught Henry to sail. Apparently Neal never existed in Henry’s mind anymore it seems. Oh okay. Thanks A&E.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Nothing weird I promise. When threads hit a certain amount of pages it no longer takes them back to page one. When we hit 1000, it took us to page 2 instead of page 1. Now that we’re 2000+ pages strong, it takes us to page 3

If Emma is the Dark One… That means TLK is probably coming to cure her of the darkness. And I have a feeling it would henry’s maternal (well..son-ternal?) love for his mama.

I wrote this elsewhere so I’ll just repeat myself. (not to be mean, just because I want people to prepare themselves)

Given that 511 is (I believe) the 100th episode, A and E would see it as being a rich way to bring their story to a circular close (in a way; obviously we’d have another half season at least of OUAT). Emma saved Henry with a TLK in 122, someone saves Emma with a TLK in 511, thus closing the arc of Dark! Swan.

In fact, I believe they’ll even have the similar dialogue. There’s a reason why they didn’t have Hook say ILY back to Emma in 422 and it’s because they want the impact for 511. So, basically Emma will probably be super duper dark, Hook decides he doesn’t care, if she’s going to destroy the world or whatever he’ll die alongside her (cause Jane Espenson is still on the writing staff and “yellow crayon”–if you don’t get the reference, then my heart is broken and you need to spend the summer with BtVS), goes up and says “ILY Emma” (just like Emma in 122 says “I love you Henry” for the first time) kisses her, rainbows, curse broken. Circular storytelling.

It SHOULD be Henry because he’s Emma’s canonical true love. But…it ain’t happening.

I weep as a Rumbeller that my TLK B&TB ending is going to CS. I have a lot of anger over this. I’m cheated out of it. I wish I could say words that are not permitted here but I won’t.

I am 1000% percent sure that Hook’s kiss will break her curse. It would be more circular and appropriate for Henry to kiss Emma but it will never happen. They’re head-over-heels, totally in love with Killy Willy Poo and of course will give the kiss to her. Then we’ll hear so much crap about Milah and how he never loved her (despite being on a quest for revenge for hundreds of years). Talk about flipping tables. My only hope is that ratings continue to tank on this subpar storytelling.

I’ve noticed something lately. Most of the people I follow on tumblr are Rumbellers, but I notice more and more are posting vocally anti-CS and anti-Hook things. In the past they just kept quiet and stayed in the “Rumbelle bubble” but it’s creeping out more and more. People I’ve never seen talk about Hook are now reblogging Hook hate. It’s very interesting.

I’ve come to terms that the show is what it is, and not what I thought it was going to be. I do not really enjoy the story any longer. Now the writers want the audience to forget about Baelfire, to forget that Henry first learned sailing from his dad. In fact, the writers decided to toy with the audience two years in a row by bringing up two poential ways (i.e time-travel and literally re-writing history) to bring back Neal, and then just as quickly slammed shut those possibilities. Zelena said to Rumple (in a very meta way) that it wasn’t “idle cruelty”–that there really was a way to bring back his son–but then that is precisely what it turned out to be: idle cruelty. A&E turned out to be toying with us they way Rumple said the author was toying with him. These writers passed over a chance for Belle to kiss Rumple goodbye and potentially save him the same way they passed over the chance for Emma or Rumple to kiss Neal goodbye. And why? So Hook can be rebranded the hero and get to save the savior with TLK.

About Hook, I agree there are a lot of people “coming out of the closet” so to speak in vocalizing their dislike. He’s one of those characters who really divides a lot of crowds, precisely because he roguish, yet handsome. I was reading The Rogue Prince by G.R.R. Martin (thanks for a great recommendation) and Prince Dameon’s character description I think also really fits with Hook. He’s described as “dashing, daring and dangerous.” From The Rogue Prince:

“Over the centuries, House Targaryen has produced both great men and monsters. Prince Daemon was both. In his day there was not a man so admired, so beloved, and so reviled in all Westeros. He was made of light and darkness in equal parts. To some he was a hero, to others the blackest of villains.”

Also, the way his character is perceived by other characters in the story also seems to really capture how people seem to react to Hook.

"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy

I’m not surprised at this to be honest. I think the problem is they show Hook being deliberately antagonistic towards Rumple for no other reason than he can, and then show him being all sweetness and light towards Emma. It’s like a whiplash effect. What they’re telling us about Hook (that he’s redeemed, he’s a hero, etc) does not match up with what they’re showing us onscreen (that he has bully boy tendencies and has a very unsavoury side of him). This darker side of Hook is not explored or acknowledged by the writers or the other characters and it makes Hook look a little Jekyll and Hyde.

All magic comes with a price!
