Yup. I keep coming here and staring at Slurpeez’s siggy.

LOL – is that what the boys and girls are calling it nowadays?

Here is another SF parallel. Emma, a lost girl, fell in love with Nealfire, a lost boy, only for both of them to be reconciled with their parents again. That’s so heartwarming.

And both the lost girl and lost little boy laid awake at night crying, wanting their parents, unable to understand why they didnt come for them, never thinking they’d have a home until they met each other.

    Their story..I swear. :’)

Also, found a delightful little thing this morning on Tumblr

I was thinking about the so called love “triangle” between Emma, Neal, and Hook trying take a look at objectively at which couple actually makes sense. When I look at Hook and Emma I do understand why people like them. They do have good chemistry. They are flirty and fun. Hook is charming, handsome, and sexy. People like seeing Hook change from being the villain to becoming a hero all because of the love of a woman. There in lies the problem with me. Hook is a fairytale character. I know Eddie and Adam have changed all the characters a bit and have given them their own twist. We all know Hook as the dastardly villain. Charming to be sure, but lovesick puppy? This is not the Hook that I love. The banter between them is fun, but to take away the villain is to take away the pirate. No more Hook, but plain old Killian Jones? Hook becomes a regular guy. Their flirting us fun, I have a hard time picturing Emma and Hook in a long term relationship.
Then we have Neal and Emma, products of fairytale characters especially created by Eddie and Adam. Both abandoned, in a sense, by their parents. Fell in love, separated by fate because of a curse. Neal was the reason the curse was created, Emma’s was the reason curse was broken. They share a child , who ties two families together. They both love each other deeply. The most important thing to both Neal and Emma is family. Emma has only said I love you to two people, Henry and Neal. The whole theme of the show is about family, hope, believing, redemption and love. When I look at all the other couples, Rumbelle , Snowing, and others, they all have the same theme. They were all separated and brought back together. Emma and Neal fit the same pattern. Their story Is more complicated, but a true love story. They fit together. Emma and Neal have had the most emotional depth in their scenes together. I prefer this to fluff any day. Their chemistry is more real to me and they make sense as a couple. Just saying.

*hugs RG’s post and is very thankful that she follows Schmacky on Tumblr* 😀

I can also see why people could be attracted to seeing CS get together but that chemistry is so much on the surface that I can’t help wondering about the personal relationships of those fans if a relationship that’s totally flirtatious, fun, and sexual is all they’re rooting for instead of one that seems like it could be built to last with so much potential (both all ready there and what could come in the future) for real emotions, real pain, real struggles, real passion, and real happiness. I wonder if people are still looking at this as the ‘fairytale show’ and have forgotten that the emotions and problems of the characters are actually real and things that can’t be defined by the fairytale aspect all the time. If I want to see a hot couple go at it all the time, I’ll watch Grey’s Anatomy (which I have watched faithfully since the pilot and still love), Scandal (which is all sex sometimes), or Chicago Fire (that’s actually a show that has found a way to balance an insanely hot cast with stories that actually tug your heartstrings too). I want more than that from the ‘fairytale show’ though…..I want to see the heartache, the pain, the reconciliation, the passion, and the emotions. I want to see the love story, darn it! 😉

    /end rant  😉

Yeah, there is no denying that JMo and Colin have a huge amount of chemistry, and that’s fine, it means they’re doing their jobs as actors well. But it also leads me to: if someone other than Colin had been chosen for the part, would we even be in this situation? If the writers hadn’t noticed that Colin and JMo have good chemistry, would Hook still be “the villain” he was intended to be?  Which makes me think about all those rumors we hear that August was originally supposed to be the other side of this triangle. But it is what it is. I like Colin and sometimes I enjoy Hook, I just don’t think Hook and Emma’s “romance” is anything more than a “Vegas style” fling. My favorite metaphor so far is still KFC’s moon and sun romance.

    NICE POST!!!
I totally agree and that’s how I see CS, fluffy and fun, like a trip to Vegas as A &E described them. But with Swanfire there is deepness and depth between Emma and Neal, and its just pure raw tangible emotion. You can see the longing between them because their hearts literally beats towards one another. Their story is one of hope, faith, love, and overcoming the many obstacles that are thrown their way from outside and inside forces. I am enjoying their journey of this Lost boy and Lost girl.

Has anyone written any or knows any SwanFire fics that shows how Neal interacts with everybody else including Hook. Preferably something that’s not overlong and no smut fics.

All magic comes with a price!
