Keymaster“I think Neal and Emma, though they have grown from their thief days have grown in complimentary ways. They still have struggles ahead, but ultimately both want family and a home, and are not driven by power, greed, revenge or obtaining a “happy ending”, just a little happiness. I don’t think any other two characters can understand each other as well as they can.”

ParticipantNice graphic things Wr and RG!
Speaking of graphic…woah, every time I see that banner WR, I blush 😛
Sorry, PoM, I’m not much of a fan fic reader. I just like reading people’s headcanon for stuff.

ParticipantRG, Yes I think out of all other characters, Emma and Neal truly can relate the most.

Keymasterinteresting little piece from Schmacky
“The Little guy saved us!Neal Cassidy.
“He sure did!” – Emma Swan, 2X06 Tallahassee
I could be wrong but I think this little bit of dialogue is foreshadowing. Henry will save his parents. Not in the literal sense (although he may do that one day). But that he will be the reason they get back together. Not because he’s their son and they are going to get back together so he can have some tight knit family unit or some crap like that. But because he is ultimately the reason they came back together again. He is the reason they ran literally into each other again.
If Henry didn’t find Emma, Emma wouldn’t have come to Storybrooke, if she didn’t go to Storybrooke she wouldn’t have helped Ashley and make a deal with Gold, if she didn’t make a deal with Gold she wouldn’t have gone to New York looking for Bae which ended up being Neal.
Henry was the reason Neal went back to Storybrooke. Neal going back to Storybrooke put Emma and him back in each other’s space. They started to talk to one another again, found comfort in each other’s company again. It was the tiny spark that could ignite a flame.
Henry is the reason both Emma and Neal went to Neverland. In Neverland Emma learned much more about Neal’s past and the things he went through. Again, they were back in each other’s space.
Neal might still love Emma and Emma might still love Neal but there is over a decade of separation between the two. It’s going to take more than seeing each other again to start a relationship.
I think ultimately, Henry will be the reason for their own second chance. Because through Henry they will be around each other more. Being around each other more they are/will become friends. And through being friends they will fall in love with one another again.
None of that would have happened if it wasn’t for Henry.
The little guy is going to save them.

ParticipantRumplegirl That was pivotal line to foreshadow a few things. We already know that Henry did bring the savior to SB to break the curse which lead to Rumple finding Neal. It also lead to Neal and Emma both reuniting with their families and finding each other.

And now they’re working to bring their son home. The little guy saved us, but then they saved him! And as we saw in 309, no matter what the circumstance of them personally, Emma trusts Neal implicitly with Henry, who is really her heart and soul. (was that mushy)?
