KeymasterHi all, Wanted to share a recent conversation between me and my SIL, long-time viewer of OUAT. Her: I finally caught up on S4! Wait, you don’t watch anymore, do you? Me: Nope. Her: Yeah, ever since what’s his name died? Me: Neal. Her: It’s really just not the same as it was in S1 or 2 in general. Me: I just can’t bear to watch Emma suck face with Henry’s step grandfather. Her: WHAT? Me: [insert brief historical summary of Hook – Mila – Rumple – Bae] Her: Oh. Ew. I had forgotten about all of that. =FIN=

Yeah the show never brings it up, nor will it.

ParticipantWow. MRJ is looking fine.
Hey people, it’s been forever. Don’t know if anyone remembers me, but I miss being part of the Ranch.
Been insanely busy with school, but had some time to finally catch up with Once. Not exactly sure why I bothered tbh, curiosity I suppose.Welcome Back @Onyx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sweet Oz, I’ve missed you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don’t worry too much on OUAT, the only great and wonderful thing you missed was Cruella De Vil! Everything else was….nice and okay, but Cruella was the sole highlight of the entire season 4! Well…that and OutlawQueen S’mores Scene, but that’s neither here nor there.

Hope you’re doing great in school too, even though some assignments seem hectic, still enjoy the experience, those years can be some of your best if you put forth the effort! And if you ever get too frustrated with the work, you can always have you a nice glass of wine and remember:

Thank you!! <3
Ha yeah school can definitely be stressful, but I’ve made it and I can now recharge for the next year. I do love it and going back to school was the best decision I’ve made so far. And whenever I’ve pulled off a photoshoot that seemed impossibly ambitious or overwhelming, I feel extra reassured about my choice to pursue this career.
Yeah I did catch up with all the eps and as odd as I find it, I too thought Cruella was the best part. I really didn’t think I would like her, but Victoria killed it. Though her character was really just a filler and of zero importance, I still enjoyed her more than anyone else on the show. Ursula was a bit of a let-down for me. They should’ve left her alone and just stayed with their goddess character.
Hey there Onyx!!! Nice to see you posting again!!!

ParticipantJust had a thought! I was looking at the Once wikia page http://onceuponatime.wikia.com/wiki/Once_Upon_a_Time_Wiki specifically the page on Neal’s apartment. You know how we were wondering ages ago what Neal’s job was, it’s possible he may have been a writer of some sort. In New York City Serenade, one of the letters addressed to Neal is from a Mrs C. Marion. This is a reference to Cheryl Marion, an art director on the show. In Operation Mongoose part 1, Cheryl Marion is also listed as one of the reviewers on the book blurb for Isaac’s novel “Heroes and Villains”. (Whilst obviously, it’s just a case of using a crew member’s name more than once, in the once universe it’s possible that Marion is some writing/ publishing bigshot. It’s a nice link between Neal possibly having a job in writing/ publishing (maybe some sort of journalism) and Henry being the new author.
I officially accept this as true – I love the idea of Neal as some sort of writing profession – and then with the new thing with Henry being the author – love it!!!!!

ParticipantSome words of wisdom from Kiki…
There’s this big hole that exists in the storytelling right now because of Neal’s absence. There’s this big emotional void where Neal experiencing the woman he loves being overtaken by the same darkness that took his father away from him should be, where Neal experiencing his father finally being freed from the Dark One should be, where Neal trying to shield his son from the same experience he went through should be. The emotional crux of what this story should be is just completely gone.
You can’t look at this current DO storyline, at the overall story from the beginning of the show, and the connections they have Neal/Bae from season one and logically say that there was nothing more planned for him than what he got.

Participanthappy sunday!!!!
Yeah, KiKi sometimes says somethings right, but have to say there is a note that also has some points.
"I offended you with my opinion? Ha, you should hear the ones I keep to myself".
