KeymasterThis show is screwed up when it comes to CS. It is so unhealthy. I’ve listed a load of reasons for why I dislike Hook this episode in the Favourite/least favourite moments thread (Seriously there is only one thing in like, a few things in mixed, and a massive list in dislike which features a lot of Hook).
I just read it. I almost hugged my computer.

ParticipantSeriously the whole conflict with CS and SF and their fans has seriously has almost permanently ruined my enjoyment of shipping. Now I sometimes am too scared of openly saying what I shipped aloud in fear of backlash, especially if the pairing I shipped is not-canon, not the top favorite pairing or at least the ship was sank by Word of God. I also feel like the need to warn other people in order to spare them of the backlash which go well as one would expected. I sometimes wish I have a better control over how I feel and think sometimes.

ParticipantI didn’t list it in the likes/dislikes thread because I just couldn’t be bothered. This episode was so bad I can’t even muster the energy to properly critique it.
But I just wanted to express my overall emphatic BLEARGH with the whole CS thing in this episode. It was, for lack of a better word, vomitous. Every. Single. Thing. About it. From the aesthetic, to the cliche horse ride/adrenaline blah blah, to the roses. Ugh!!! The stupid fake field of roses (have those people ever seen how roses grow? Hint, they aren’t tulips.)
I think I’ve finally reached the Rubicon of watching this show exclusively for the #epic fail.

ParticipantOkay, I’m glad I’m not the only one shaking her head over a field of roses. Uhm, yeah, roses don’t grow that way. A field of wildflowers would make sense, but a field of roses? That seems as fake as the basis on which CS is based.
You know, it’s not even CS being pushed down our throats that annoys me with the show. It’s every single story line. Making Ruby the wolf was a clever twist on Red Riding Hood, having Rumple be the Beast was a nice neat way to tie his story together. But for Camelot, it’s like they got a listing of characters names in a book a one-sentence summary of their roles and totally destroyed the story. You have to at least have a semblance of the original character if you’re going to twist it and make it interesting and your own. But I see no traces of the original characters in the versions we now have. Just the names are the same.
It’s getting to be where it’s not even fun to hate watch, anymore. Even Bobby’s acting can’t save it or keep viewers at this point.

So many Harlequin Romance moments this past week. I mean, the pirate and the virgin princess go for a horse ride and then kiss in a field of roses (that are growing so strangely). Good god, it was like the cover of a really cheesy and poorly written romance novel.
Hm. Cheesy and poorly written. Yup. That’s CS

Participantdid hook end up a villain?
pfft HA! Hook is the male lead now according to some people.
Hook was best when he was the villain. I used to be such a huge hooker. But then S3 happened. Hook is being portrayed as the good guy. Not acting much like one. But they are portraying him as one.ah well, I guess we still have time for that… since the show aint over yet. I will prolly come back here one day towards the end of season 4 or 5 or whatever they are up to now and ask this question again.
