I have no idea why anyone would think this is nice. Yeah, it’s bait, but of the worst cruel kind. So Neal’s true love and Neal’s father and Neal’s son just so happen to run into him in the Underworld and then what–leave him there? Are just like “hey thanks for the warning, we gotta go save a pirate who we deem more important than you?” Why does that make any sense? Why is that nice? Are you simply satisfied with a brief glimpse of a character so viciously taken from us? Because if that’s all you need, then go watch Manhattan or Second Star to the Right or Ariel. Malarkey. This isn’t nice. It’s cruel. It’s not about having any kinds of hope dashed because I’ve never had any but I wanted MRJ to stay away from this travesty of a show that treated him and his character so appallingly; that wasted every single chance it had with the poetic story of Neal and Emma, Neal and Rumple, and Neal and Henry. That threw away all its heart for a pirate in eyeliner. This is just a way for A and E to say “see! We remember Neal!” and pat themselves on the back for ingenuity, never mind how hurtful, malicious, and morally repugnant it is to the fans and to the narrative.
In other news: we’re getting lax about spoiler in this thread lately. Tag them, guys. Images, discussion, whatever.

Sad thing it worked, this was their intention, BAIT, im seing all over Tumblr people saying that they dont see the show since 315 or they didnt intend to see the episode 512, and now they will see it to see Neal.

    @TheWatcher
, If this ends being true, lets see if u still say is nice when the scene is nothing more than CS blessings.

Also very telling that this “leaked” which i think was with intention, this sunday beginning of the week, that Game of silence will start promotion, that MRJ will be in a room with more than 200 media people to talk about GoS. Not to mention that The Finest Hours will premiere in 3 weeks and is a Disney movie and according to producers, the casting was made my Disney and MRJ is the big villain in the boat( check pic bellow). You have to notice that there is a pattern, everytime something major happens in MRJ life with publicity OUAT releases something Neal related, like to take attention of other possible projects MRj may have.

My thoughts regarding this so called “leaked” spoiler.

I just don’t believe it really anything, period.

    Interesting info, @Rainbow!

I suspect that the alleged “leak” is nothing more than a promotional stunt, released in anticipation of MRJ’s other promotional work for GoS etc. Whether on purpose or coincidental, as MRJ’s projects circulate on social media, a leak like this will produce some hashtags that connect MRJ and OUAT and that parasitically ride on the coat-tails of him promoting his other projects. Is it false advertisement and probably just vacuous click-bait? You bet. But this wouldn’t be the first time this happens with OUAT.

I think we can all agree that ABC only cares about eyeballs and money, and Kistowitz, for all their talk of how they’re pouring their heart and soul into this show, seem to only care about getting praise from the critics and giggly squeals from the fandom. In light of this, while @RG, your post is absolutely right on, the sorts of questions about the integrity of the narrative or the organic development of the characters is just not something that they seem to give a hoot about. But honestly, I almost feel sorry for them. At this stage, it’s unlikely that OUAT can ever get back Season 1 quality — or even S2 or S3A, no matter how much A&E like to promise a “return to Season 1 feel”. They’ve screwed up OUAT too much for it to be recuperable.

    You are welcome @nevermore

Yeah, OUAT loves to use the ex cast menbers projects to get publicity. Also, i still need full confirmation, but i think some of the media reviewers for  OUAT will end being the same ones to GoS, example, Matt M, and if these same reviewers that review OUAT end reviewing GOS we all know that at least on Gos articles some Neal mentions may happen, comparing Neal and Gil, which means free publicity to ouat. Lets say Wednesday afternoon will be fun to see, especially bc MRJ was the one cast menber that left ouat without having many interviews or having a goodbye interview , having inclusive to be him tweeting online explaining the dead of his own character, bc the writers were to scared to talk about that themselves, so having him on a room full of hundreds media people will be interesting to see if any OUAT questions appear.

Another interesting thisng to follow is The finest hours world premiere party on 25th January , where u can only see with inviations, will be fun to see if anyone OUAT related goes there and mentions MRJ later, i mean is after all a Disney movie.

It is cruel for you die hard Swanfire shippers.  However, if this is a way to bring Neal back permanently, and get rid of Hook for good, this would be amazing I think.  Imagine, Emma has to choose between Hook and Neal.  Hook tells her to save Neal, she chooses Neal, and then you get all the stuff you mentioned above that they screwed up and never gave us.  Again, not sure if this is even possible with MRJ and his schedule (likely not), but let’s not scorn them for something they haven’t done yet.  Maybe it will turn out to be good and maybe we’ll even get some more closure from Rumple and Henry interacting with him.  Or maybe it will just be a CGI voice over.  It could suck.  But maybe not…

I still say is Dylan, or snowing baby from the future( i know doesnt make sense but is ouat after all), or some old scene never used that was cut from Neal or like @Thewatcher said on another thread they recast Neal, in fact crack theory they keep saying hook will be a diferent person, maybe Neal in UW looks like Hook, hahahaha.

Or it could be a flashback with Dylan Schmid and Abby Ross, and the warning is about some security guard.

I wrote this on the other thread of the spoiler and i will post it here again

I saw someone posting a interesting theory about this online, the person was saying that this is the music name, that probably was used in 319 when Neal send the warning to Hook and that Mark keeps re- using old songs from past seasons, since no more soundtracks from the show were released, so this is just the song name, because Mark would not change the song title , just because will be used in another season, so the tune is the same, the name has to keep being the same. So can simply means this is a song name and not that Neal is not back, Mark is just using that song composed for 319.
I think this is actually a interesting theory and probably the thing that will happen, bc lets be real, why would they want to keep a secret of Neal cameo in epi 100 , when so many other characters are coming back? In fact revealing that fact could make them gain viewers, so if this was true and Neal would appear even if in one scene, they would only gain, so no reason to keep it a surprise during so many time.

In the end this would accomplish several results, Bait for ratings and using MRJ name and future media attention on him to get OUAt name out there, and get free publicity.

I can’t feel pity. I’m still too angry.

However, if this is a way to bring Neal back permanently, and get rid of Hook for good, this would be amazing I think.

Yes, because the fandom will certainly be thrilled and there will be no fighting, no anger, no hatred directed toward MRJ on Twitter, toward SF shippers (who already get an unfair amount of hatred for daring to not like Hook and CS); because it won’t lead to more holes in their story, to more inconsistency, to more wonky narrative, to more retcons and more absolute silliness. Even if they don’t go the route some are predicting by having MRJ come back even briefly I am well within my right to scorn them for messing up their beautiful poetic story in the first place because 96% of the time I don’t know what I’m even watching. But it’s not OUAT and any attempts to try and return to something that was is laughable at best and rage inducing at worst because we all know it won’t stick.

Well I disagree with most of the feelings here toward the spoiler.

We all wondered if they’d have Neal show up in the underworld, and that’s completely logical for a dead person to appear in the world of the dead. But now we have confirmation, and it seems like its so out of left field for a lot of you. All we know is from two words. “Neal’s warning”. All we know is that Neal is somehow going to warm them about their mission. And that, to me, is completely legit. I’d be more concerned if Neal was aware they were in the underworld and remained silent about it, in story. Out of story, yes, it is a grab at ratings and viewers and to catch the attention of SFers and Neal fans and get them to pay attention the the show again, and yes, it won’t turn out to be anything, I’ve accepted that.

But personally, I like the idea that from beyond the grave, Neal is in a position to talk them and to tell them to get the hell out of there even they won’t listen. It’s cool.

But hey, we all feel how we feel about it. I am sure it will be yet another missed opportunity, and i’ll probably dislike it, but I still think its cool.
