That was such a mediocre episode of the show. I mean, granted, I haven’t watched it in a season and a half, but I could not get over the weird transformation of Jennifer Morrison’s acting. Also, it needed 100% more Rumple and 75% less Regina to make it palatable to me, lol.
The idea that Neal would be happy dead when his father is still evil/causing problems and his son is still…fatherless…is so comically wrong to me. I enjoyed seeing MRJ and JMo back together again, though.

While it’s certainly an allusion to the Bible, I think it was more than that. This is meant to be Emma’s wake-up call. EMMA, YOU HAD TRUE LOVE ONCE. Turn back before it’s too late
