Hmm. Well in the Disney movie, Zeus trapped the titans and Hades set them free. Hades called the Titans is brothers though in the film, but I actually wouldn’t be surprised if OUAT makes Hades have some really bad daddy issues and that papa is the clock in the SB or Underbrooke by Hades doing. I think I’m on to something…
It wasn’t exactly brothers meaning same parents. More “brothers in arms”–both Hades and the Titans want to take down Zeus. However, I have no doubt that OUAT is going to gives Hades some deep father/brother issues, especially the brother issues.

I was watching a clip of Gold and Hook from 4×11…so, when he had regressed back to evil-ish mode in season 4, was he plotting to take both Belle AND Henry over the line and pretend like he tried to save everyone else? I did not realize that they had had Gold show any true interest in Henry post Neal’s death. Sure, it was in a horribly selfish and reductive sort of way, but that character consistency (again…ish) actually kind of surprised me. Did I follow that correctly? How did this plot get foiled?

Essentially, Rump wanted to keep his dark one powers but didn’t want to be tied to the dagger, so he was attempting to cleave himself from the dagger by sacrificing Hook’s heart (he needed the heart of someone who knew him before he was a Dark One and hook was the only one) and using the sorcerer’s hat that was in possession of the Snow Queen Ingrid, and so in order to trade for it, he was going to allow her to curse the entire town into killing eachother so that she could have Emma and Elsa all to the herseld, yada yada, everyone found out, Belle stopped him from killing Hook and banished him, wherein he went and found Ursula who was living in our world, and Cruella who was also here and had them sneak him into the town where he found the author of Henry’s storybook and tried to get him to change reality so that the heroes were villains and the villains were heroes, he succeeded but his plan was foiled by henry who is the new author.
Rumple, who was about to be killed by the darkness of his heart, got the Apprentice to suck it into a the sorcerer;s hat but the darkness was set free and to keep it from consuming everyone, Emma took it into herself. Hook became a dark one, emma killed Hook to defeat the darkness, but it turns out Rumple actually brought the powers of all the dark ones into himself, making him an Uber-Dark One if you will, and emma used that as leverage to get Rump to take them to the underworld or else she would tell Belle about what he did. And that’s basically where we are today.
I think he was going to take Henry with him over the town line.

Rumple was working with Ingrid (the Snow Queen) in the sense that he wouldn’t interfere with her plans to cast the Spell of Shattered Sight if he could leave SB with Belle and Henry. This was, more or less, the only real interest Rumple showed in Henry after Neal’s death and vice versa. Henry actually used his father’s death as a way to bribe Rumple into letting him work in the shop for the intention of finding out about the author for Regina. The plan was foiled when Ingrid ended the curse (via suicide as a happy ending). Rumple decided to move forward with his plan to to cleave (twitch) himself from the dagger using Hook’s heart (for a reason I literally can’t remember. Something about knowing Rumple before he was the DO??? Anyone remember the better in universe explantion). He was stopped by Belle who found the dagger, realized Rumple had been lying to her all along (and forcing Hook to hat suck Nuns) and then kicked him over the town line

And on S5a there are mushrooms, the characters actually pass the time looking for mushrooms, talking to mushrooms, when they dont have mushrooms, there are some “Drug” Flowers, or whatever, you can now have several Dark ones at same time, like is the most easy thing in the world to make and in bwt all this , there are portals to everyone, if Oprah was on the show, she would be giving portals.

Forgot about that, same way i forgot the magical walking broom and talking rocks. The things i say about this show, if someone had told me in 2012 that 4 years later the show would be this, i would have laugh and would have told them to go get help and in last resource if they kept inisting, they would need some time to rest in a asylum, oh look at that, i just found the next season plot.

See, S4 was a long extended metaphor about humans’ troubled relations with their accessories: hence, at the center of the story were Rumple’s dagger, the Sorcerer’s Hat, the Author’s Pen, Emma’s necklace, the Sisters’ bracelets etc. As his heart progressively turned into <del>fossil fuel</del> coal, Rumple realized the nature of their collective obsession with material things, and tried to set things right by creating a pre-capitalist AU without the trappings of technology and excessive dependence on material things. He failed.
S5A turns towards a different problem: that of humans and their relation to the ecology, hence hallucinogenic mushrooms, plantations of (clearly pheromone-secreting and consciousness altering) flowers, trees-are-people-too, sands of avalon (a naturally occurring mineral compound similar to flunitrazepan), eternal sparks (finally, a source of clean energy), and the peril of extracting metal from rocks.
Seriously. This makes way more sense to me than the actual story lines.
