ParticipantI saw this on Tumblr and just had to post here, because it’s just so funny and satirical. LOL!

ParticipantWas just listening to the podcast and they mentioned that once again, when we saw the text in the Book in the most recent ep, it was The Golden Bird, and how pretty much every time we see text in the book it’s either The Golden Bird, or Snow White and Rose Red, and I know I’ve seen that discussed in the past whenever there’s been a shot of the Book text in the show, and I’ve always thought it was odd but didn’t really think too much about it. But this time my brain instantly went to A PHOENIX IS A GOLDEN BIRD! Then I got all sorts of SwanFire feels because their story is such an integral part of the over all story, so no wonder they almost always default to showing a story that references a GOLDEN BIRD, (and yes I know that that particular story isn’t actually about a phoenix, I’m just saying, the symbolism caused me to have a moment).

I had a similar thought when I heard the podcast, too! Who knows if it actually is a clue about the Fire Bird, but it would be an excellent tie-in if it were! Also, I have to wonder about the symbolism of names (i.e Phoenix, AZ, Tamara = Palm Tree, BaelFIRE, Emma SWAN). These things seem deliberate to me!

ParticipantActually, Phee, I just looked at the Wikipedia Entry for Brothers Grimm fairytale “The Golden Bird” and I noticed a link on the page to the very similar, almost identical, Russian fairytale “Tsarevitch Ivan, the Fire Bird, and the Gray Wolf”!
The entry also cites:A similar variant fairy tale of French-Canadian origin is “The Golden Phoenix” collected by Marius Barbeau, and retold by Michael Hornyansky. It follows the hero Petit Jean, the youngest son of the King, who discovers the thief of his father’s golden apple to be a golden Phoenix, a legendary bird. “

ParticipantI just found a beautiful SwanFire video from S3 clips on Tumblr. I couldn’t find it on youtube to embed, so you have to watch on the actual site.
