Done! (did I know you were a Lucifer fan?) (ps: American Gods this weekend. You’re watching, right?!)

Lucifer is probably the only show in forever that somehow snaps me out of either the analytical or the sardonic mode and launches me straight into totally undignified squee. I can’t quite explain it to myself.

And yes, American Gods!!! I can’t wait.

Like she’s trying to cover something up and failing–much like what her clothing would signal to the audience if this were a domestic abuse story.

Here’s a question for discussion. If the show had taken the domestic abuse story route with CS, do you think that would’ve been an empowering storyline eg showing that even a “strong” woman can be a victim of domestic abuse, or do you think it would’ve made Emma look “weak” because she was previously a “strong” character but is now “allowing” herself to be dominated by Hook?

(When I say “allowing herself to be dominated”, I don’t mean and am not implying that real domestic abuse victims “allow” themselves to be dominated. What I mean is that from an audience point of view and Emma being a fictional character, it’s easy to go “Why doesn’t she just punch him in the face? Why is she giving in to him and letting him do that?” Just wanted to clarify that point so that people don’t take it the wrong way.)

All magic comes with a price!

I think this depends on what the outcome is. I would like to think that if A and E did an in your face all out domestic abuse stroryline they wouldn’t have CS be end game which would be a nice way to have Emma fight not only literal Big Bads but also fight the big bad of the patriarchy and abuse to take back her story, to fight for her right to exist as a person and not an object.

I can’t wait till Lucifer returns on Monday!!!

And sign me up for at least one episode of American Gods…it has Kristin Chenoweth in it, so I’ve gotta give it a shot! Plus she’s playing the Goddess of Easter…who I can already tell will be my favorite!

mRJ also went to some girl that couldn`t got in to see the movie bc the tickets were a bit to expensive, bc she wanted a pic and she waited for him and she told him that while he was going inside and then without her asking he went back, hugged her and said to her sis to take their pic, he is such sweet person.
