I think that the way i see official promotional events is as part of an extension of the character. They are told what they can and cannot say. They are told where to stand. They are told who to take pictures with. It is part of Jennifer’s job to promote the show in that way. I don’t see that as lying, as much as just part of the job.
I also agree that how Jennifer feels is probably somewhere in the middle. She thinks that swanfire was the more interesting story, but she doesn’t hate captain swan or anything. I also think that we have to take into consideration that there was this entire season where Hook was not Emma’s love interest and Jennifer as well as the rest of the cast and Eddy and Adam talked about that character in a very different way.
As i said, i wouldn’t call what Jennifer does lying. It is no more lying then a waiter being polite and smiling at a costumer at a restaurant. Sometimes parts of jobs are behaving certain ways or saying certain things. It is no different as an actor and actually seems to be a lot more specifically scripted at times.

MRJ’s been working pretty fine since leaving OUAT… If it were about money, he would have shown up during the other conventions that have occurred in the past 3 years. Especially if he were desperate for the money, eh.
But nah, I doubt it’s a financial thing.

He has had series regular roles in shows however they’ve all be cancelled, so it has not been stable for him to find work is what I’m saying.
The money is a big reason some people do cons and maybe now he has time to do one considering that his show was cancelled and everything.
