Just so we’re clear the abuse consistently hurled in the fandom since day one has always been the SQ fandom doing most of the abuse, even to MRJ. CS fans did not like Neal, and I know CS fans bashed MRJ but I was not one of them. Most of the abuse hurled at MRJ came from all sides of the fandom, CS and SQ. However SQ fans have abused and harassed Colin, MRJ, JMO, Sean, Adam, Bridgette, Jane and many more including media journalists.
Please don’t compare CS fans to those awful Supercorp fans that are basically SQ fans that ditched OUAT and went to another fandom to do basically the same thing.
I completely support MRJ going to a con environment because it’s a great experience and there’s great money to be made.
As far as the show goes, I don’t see him ever returning. He’s dead, in 2 universes. Maybe Henry will dream about him or something but I would think they would be focusing on Henry’s relationships with his step father, his mother, and his grandpa cause those are the three characters staying.

I honestly expect we will see all the people leaving in at least 3-5 episodes next season, but I’m sure none will be in the first half.
From what I gather, I don’t think there will be a panel with him, he will have photo duo with Bobby and appears Sean and those will be limited.
He Will do meet and greet that is private no videos or photos allowed and then autographs.
this con will take place on Disneyland Paris.

MRJ probably just wants to see everyone. I don’t think that Neal is coming back, but it would be the easiest thing in the world to bring him back to life. Much easier then other characters that they brought back.

I’m honestly a bit relieved to hear that MRJ isn’t doing a panel, just a photo op. As much as I would love to hear him speak, I already had unease about what would be asked given that most cons are populated by other ships that get angsty if their ship isn’t front and center of the con/show.

well im not 100%sure of that, someone told that she thought he wasnt doing one, since he is a bonus guest, so not included in any pass, but i asked someone else and the person said she is not sure, appears there will be also a group photo with everyone.
I dont know how this con works, if they even do panels or not, for example, Sean, Bex, Bobby and Lana dont have meet and greet option.

What they could do isnt the same as what they should do. Im not really interested in 28 year old Henry having scenes with the man that married his father, im sure all the bonding, hopefully, happened off screen and in the years before the season is set.
What OUAT needs to do is give Henry time with his real father, something that is really needed in this family given their history of bad father/son relationships. Focusing on Henry and Neal, for even one scene, would be full of so much substance.
Besides im sure any scene with Henry and Hook will just go:
Hook: Henry! Where’s Emma?!?!”
Henry: I dont know.
Hook: We have to find her!!
