I wonder what Adam reaction to all this was. Obviously not a good since he deleted his twitter.
Oh do you think his deleting Twitter was a result of the Con? Were people tweeting him angry things about it, and he wasn’t handling it well?
From what I gathered, there was an argument that broke out with some fans but I don’t think it had anything to do with the Con? I think this has been a long time coming and apart from episode titles, I think Adam needed to leave twitter long ago.

The problem in this fandom, is that they think No Spoilers means yes, that Maybe means yes, that yes means yes, than Hope means yes and that No means maybe, all bc A&E lied in the past, yes, tv show should let somethings be secret, but i never saw a show that treats spoilers( that sometimes may even bring fans to see) like they were some Top Secret issues that are important to the security of the world, aand even worst, whne fans on set know what he will happen, he just has to admit, not saying ome thing and then is exactly what the fans knew already.

Yup. This is the perfect example of why Adam should never interact with fans on Twitter except for episode titles or to RT links to news articles. Every time someone asked for hope for any pairing (CS, SF, SQ, OQ, Rumbelle, even something as silly as WoodenSwan) Adam would respond with #Hope and people took it to mean that they ship would sail. Adam later claimed #hope meant “hope for a good story.” But he needed to learn long ago to cut his losses, get off Twitter, and focus on his story instead of the things fans were sending him.

Yeah, it is complicated. I was just saying better to say no spoilers then lie. Lying is just the worst when it comes to interacting with fandom. I sort of think that if the writers are going to hint at things then they need to be sure that it is something that is actually going to happen. I think that is one of the biggest issues with the show. Like they said no time travel, no changing the past, no bringing people back from the dead way back before they completely changed their intention for the show and if they meant those things as hard and fast rules for world building reasons, and those seem like good rules, then they should have stuck with them or they should have never said it.
Though, i do think that hope thing is a problem. Better to not answer questions about future episodes then try to trick people into watching by telling them their is hope for the character they like when there is not. I do think that once something has happened, like Neal or Robin dying, that the writers need to be like they are dead and not keep lying to people saying things like well they could come back, anything is possible, when they just mean in a flashback or a dream because that is not what people are asking.
I, definitely, agree that the writers should learn how to do spoilers a little bit better. There are ways to hint that are interesting and fun for the fandom, but the things need to actually happen. Here we have a writing team that doesn’t know what happened in the past on their own show and will change the arc of their characters mid season, even multiple times a season, so they don’t know what is going to happen, so maybe they just shouldn’t respond unless it is a well thought out hint.
I think Ginny’s pictures from set was probably the best promotion fandom stuff they have done. I still can’t believe how heavily they promoted the musical episode, releasing all the songs, and then they won’t hint at the simplest things for other episodes. It is truly bizarre promotional.

And in the end it completely backfired because the demo went DOWN!

I agree because it was really equal; she got every actor/character and she spread it out so that every part of the fandom got something.

July 9, 2017 at 2:50 pm #340051SlurpeezParticipantCan anyone confirm or deny a rumor that I read? Supposedly, Robert Carlyle and Adam Horowitz had a falling out. Bobby wanted Rumple to apologize to Belle for cheating on her with the Evil Queen while Adam refused to let this happen. Did Bobby really say it, or was this just more fan hearsay?

yes, for more details see page 2562, or even before those, there are some spoilers in some links of what was said.
is also hinted by MRJ, that they sold him a major Rumple/neal storyline, but then he never acted with bobby.

I don’t know if it’s a falling out but Bobby did say something at a con along those lines about the Belle-Rumple-EQ kerfuffle.

It was with Eddy. Bobby mentioned it at the convention, how he’d had all sorts of issues with the thing between Rumple and EQ. There’s a quote out there somewhere where he basically said that he had some strong opinions on it, and no one was interested in listening to his point of view, and he and Eddy had a major falling out over it.
